- In an eerie coincidence, the wife of the supermarket tabloid editor in
whose office deadly anthrax was discovered acted as the Realtor for three
of the Sept. 11 hijackers. Palm Beach County Realtor Gloria Irish rented
an apartment at the Delray Racquet Club to 20-year-old Hamza Alghamdi,
who helped commandeer United Flight 175 and crash it into the World Trade
Center. He shared the apartment with fellow suicide hijackers Saeed Alghamdi
and Ahmed Alnami, who were on the plane that crashed in rural Pennsylvania.

- According to London's Mail newspaper, Irish, whose husband
Mike Irish is editor-in-chief of The Sun, drove the three hijackers around
to several apartments in the area before they decided on number 1504. The
owners of the apartment, Cecil and Karol Wise, confirmed that Irish represented
the terrorists in the deal. On June 14, they put down a $1,000 security
deposit for the fifth-floor apartment which they originally wanted for
