- AMMAN (PNS) - Russia has
warned the United States against attacking Iraq and said that any strike
on Iraq will have "very dangerous consequences in the Middle East
region in the current climate of tension.

- "Russia is making an effort to convince the American
administration not to strike Iraq and its argument is that Washington does
not have proof of Baghdad's involvement in the attacks" of September
11 against New York and Washington, Russian envoy Nikolai Kartuzov was
quoted as saying by the Jordanian Petra agency after meeting with Jordanian
foreign minister Abdel Ilah Khatib.
