- Prince William swore at a photographer and forced him
into a ditch as he returned from hunting yesterday, it was claimed last
night.
-
- He was accused of riding up to Clive Postlethwaite, a
photographer, and shouting: "fucking piss off".
-
- The Prince was riding with the Beaufort Hunt with the
Prince of Wales, Prince Harry and the Princess Royal near his father's
Highgrove home.
-
- Mr Postlethwaite, 51, a freelance who is often at royal
events, claimed that the Prince rode towards him "with his eyes wide
and his teeth showing".
-
- "He screamed at me and the horse was so close I
had little choice but to drop my camera equipment and jump backwards into
the hedge and ditch," he said. "I was shaken and just about
managed
to shout out 'Steady on, Wills'.
-
- "I was standing waiting on a corner of the farm
where he was returning. Prince Charles went past first then William saw
me and just went mad. He could see me clearly and from a long way off and
I did nothing to startle him."
-
- He claimed that the Prince, 19, galloped up and shouted:
'fucking piss off, Postlewaite.'
-
- A spokesman for St James's Palace said she was not aware
of the incident. "It sounds a bit unlikely," she said. "But
the hunt is a very fast moving event and it is dangerous if you are
standing
in the way.
-
- "Sometimes if there are lots of photographers around
the horses get a bit frisky."
