TEMPE, AZ - Chinese air force instructors are training Iraqi pilots for low-level suicide missions against U.S. forces mobilizing in Kuwait to topple Saddam Hussein.

Western intelligence sources say there are over 100 kamikaze pilots based close to the present no-fly zone in southern Iraq.

Their Russian-built MIGs and French Mirage jets will be equipped with biological and chemical weapons.

All the suicide pilots are under the command of Saddam,s son, Qusay.

"Many of their instructors are from the China's People Liberation Army air force. They are teaching the suicide pilots in the technique of below the radar flying," revealed Seeds of Fire author, Gordon Thomas.

Seeds of Fire: China and the Story Behind the Attack on America, published by Dandelion Books, is available in all bookstores, at www.dandelionbooks.com, www.gordonthomas.ie, www.newsmax.com, and for the trade through Biblio Distribution, Ingram, Baker & Taylor and other major wholesalers ($25.95).

Intelligence sources have told Thomas that the Chinese instructors are from the elite 38th air division. The unit is known to have a number of combat-trained women pilots. But none are believed to be in Iraq.

Details of the kamikaze pilots were given to President Bush as he prepares to meet the Chinese leadership this week.

The information further hardens the feeling in Washington that Saddam is to be the next target in the war against terrorism. Virtual confirmation of this came from vice-president Dick Cheney in the capital this week. Next month he sets off on a 10-day briefing by Arab states for the attack on Iraq.

But the CIA and Mossad, Israel's vaunted intelligence service, have warned that "this will be no Afghanistan."

Says Gordon Thomas: "The preparation of the suicide pilots is proof of that. Their Russian-built MIGs and French Mirage jets will be equipped with biological and chemical weapons."

In Seeds of Fire, Thomas details the ever-growing links between China and Iraq that include providing Saddam with state-of-the-art weapons systems - both offensive and defensive.

Already an Internet bestseller and sold to 44 countries, Seeds of Fire has been described by critics as essential reading for all those who want to know the background to the preparations for the assault on Iraq.

"Both the CIA and Mossad have picked up intercepts to show Saddam has ordered the number of kamikazes to be increased to 200 - the month the second Gulf War is widely expected to be launched," said Thomas.

His analysis of events since last September has placed the 69-year-old author - who has written on intelligence affairs for the past 30 years - in the forefront of analysts.

Both UPI and Reuters have confirmed his reports. And the CIA and Justice Department have said that the documents and evidence he published in Seeds of Fire are totally accurate.

"When he arrives in Beijing, President Bush will attempt to enlist China's support for the attack on Iraq. I believe that at most, the Chinese will be non-committal. In reality they will totally oppose it when the time comes.

"Equally worrying for Bush is that no European ally, with the exception of Britain, will back the war. It is the same in the Middle East. The best Cheney can hope for in his trip next month is a series of nods from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and the Gulf States. He should remember that a nod is not an Arab sign of agreement. It is merely a common courtesy. The Arabs don't like saying no. It is impolite," said Thomas.

But high-ranking Pentagon sources have told the author this week that America will go it alone - "It's unfinished business this time," said one source to the author.

"The crunch will come in May when the United Nations will again demand that Saddam allow in its weapons inspectors to check on Iraq's arsenal. But the Iraqi vice-president, Taha Yassin Ramadam, has said that will not be allowed to happen," said Thomas.

Mossad agents have confirmed that the kamikazes are all volunteers. For every one selected there are five more waiting to fill their place.

"They constantly fly practice missions over the Iraqi desert, often no more that 50 feet above the sand. U.S. defenses will only have moments to intercept them," said Thomas.

U.S. satellites have pinpointed a number of bunkers in Iraq from where bio-chemical warheads are ready to be moved to the kamikaze bases.

"The one certainty is this. The further we are away from the last Gulf War, the closer we are to the next" said Thomas.

In Seeds of Fire he reveals the deal China made with President Bush,s father - then in the Oval Office - to provide reluctant support for the first Gulf War.

"It won't just happen this time. This president is determined to complete what his father failed to do. The problem is that Iraq is not Afghanistan," said Thomas.

He added that the mood is echoed in Israel.

"Iraqi suicide bombers could strike there as well. They would come in over Jordan and go for such a high-value target as Dimona, Israel,s nuclear facility in the Negev desert. One strike and Israel would become a wasteland. That is the reality of China training those suicide bombers," concluded Thomas.

Using his unequalled intelligence contacts, the author of Seeds of Fire will continue to provide news-breaking briefings to support the revelations in his bestseller.
