- I just got a phone call from a friend of mine who was
visiting the Mormon Temple or thereabouts. He called me when he came upon
some very extensive geneological histories of some of the original people
to voyage over on the Mayflower. He told me to write down the name, Henry
Howland. As I did, he listed a number of direct descendants of Henry Howland.
The list included Winston Churchill, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John Smith,
Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon and George Herbert Walker Bush. These are all
descendants, apparently, of the Howland family. Needless to say, I was
fascinated and then very much disturbed at what this might mean in terms
of NWO and the like. An American royalty bound to rule regardless of election
or any other public sentiment? Who knows. See what you can do with it.
I've not seen it myself and don't know exactly how the family tree winds
around but to have so many enormous power brokers come from just one family
tree seems more than a little curious. This may be old news to you as well
but I thought you might find it entertaining if not. Thanks for your great
work.

- Just a supplement to that piece. I have no idea who Henry
Howland was or if what is asserted in the piece on your site is true. However,
IF it is true, then additional American leaders descendant from Mr. Howland
should be listed, including:

- * President Theodore Roosevelt
* General of the Army Douglas MacArthur
* First Lady and UN Ambassador Eleanor Roosevelt (whose name was "Roosevelt"
before marrying FDR, because she was the daughter of Teddy's alcoholic
brother)
* and General Arthur MacArthur who was the American governor of the Philippines,
as well as being the American Caesar's father (the MacArthurs were cousins
of the Roosevelts).

- A more detailed genealogical investigation would probably
reveal even more intriguing connections, since there are so many generations
involved and there was a time in our history when most of these folks only
married one another (and that time is not completely past, even today).

- I don't think that it is particularly sinister that we
should see leadership traits repeated in those who are descendant from
earlier leaders. It is in part having the good start of a privileged position,
but it is also a matter of personal predilection and capability.

- One need not resort to paranoid theories centered on
secret elites to explain this sort of thing. That is not to say that such
elites do not exist in some form, but only to say that the existence of
an unusual number of accomplished leaders in Mr. Howland's family tree
does not imply that there is some organization of his descendants busying
themselves with the governance of our collective fate.

- Elites do their best to serve themselves, and they do
a fine job of it. But change nevertheless occurs in a free society. So
long as there is meritocracy and a relatively free market, the opportunities
for success and failure will continue to multiply and change the roll call
of the rich and powerful.

- There is a place on the web that gives the genology of
the presidents and wives. Most of them track back to royalty in Britian.
These then track back to the Morivian Kings.

- It was Barbara Bush who had relatives on the Mayflower.
I think the Bush's married into royalty after being here.
