- On Friday evening, 8 June, Gabi was riding home with
a fellow Girl Scout leader after dropping their Scouts off at summer camp.
The interstate was slick from rain, and a car coming the opposite way
on the other side of the highway hydroplaned, spun out across the grass
median and slammed into Gabi's car. Gabrielle was killed instantly, the
woman who was actually driving is still in a coma. The driver of the other
car suffered broken bones, but is expected to survive.
-
- Gabi left active duty as a military intelligence captain
and joined the Ft. Meade unit as a civilian employee in 1987 when the program
was still called SUN STREAK. She was my cubicle mate for almost 4 years.
She was an oustanding remote viewer, and a very capable RV project manager
and analyst. She stayed on with the unit until the end of 1990 when she
transferred over to an even more secret organization to work.
-
- She left government service to earn an MBA at Wharton,
and among other things worked for awhile for Arthur Anderson (years before
the scandal!) and then taught capitalism to young business majors at a
university in Moscow, Russia for a couple of years.
-
- Since 2000 she was director of operations for Remote
Viewing Instructional Services, Inc.
-
- She was the opening speaker at last years RV conference,
talking about "Remote Viewing: Martial Art for the Mind."
-
- At the time of her death we were involved in a very successful
ARV experiment which will now never be completed.
-
- Gabi was a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve, serving
as a tactics instructor for the Reserve version of the Command and General
Staff College.
-
- She was also a Girl Scout leader, a PTA member, and the
mother of three children (the youngest is about five). She lived in Fort
Lauderdale, FL. ___
