- The day before yesterday it was in Gobernador Ugarte,
25 de Mayo district and in Bolivar. Today it was Roque Perez's turn. In
a field 10 km away from this city toward the south along the Camino Real,
Pedro Conserva, 79, a cattleman who has lived in the vicinity for 51 years
with his son Abel and the family group, continues raising Aberdeen Angus
cattle. Once we entered the field, we traveled 1000 meters to reach the
farm house, where an unprecedented event was confirmed: the mutilation
of 3 cows which appeared dead in one of the pasture fields.

- The owners told "La Manana"'s reporters that
they weren't startled at first, considering that a storm front had gone
past and "they thought that a bolt of lighting may have killed them."
But later they realized that "there is a suggestion of the inexplicable,
since we noticed the absence of udders, tongue, eyes and ears in all three
cases. Furthermore, it seems as though the animals did not go through
any agony, since there is no sign of kicking." "It is also
curious that the incisions appear to have been made with a sharp, hot
object," they added.

- Members of the Conserva family are as surprised as the
public at large, since they never saw anything like it only 1000 meters
>from the farm house, on a pasture field holding 340 cows. Only a few
meters away there is an immense expanse that makes up the La Chilca lagoon
and other gullies impossible to cross, thus discarding the presence of
human beings in vehicles throughout the area.
