- Former WorldCom Chief Financial Officer Scott Sullivan
and former Controller David Myers were charged with one count of conspiracy
to commit securities fraud, one count of securities fraud, and five counts
of filing false statements with the SEC.

- WorldCom, the nation's No. 2 long distance carrier, was
not charged in the criminal complaint filed by prosecutors in Manhattan
federal court. The SEC previously filed a civil fraud suit against the
company.

- The two men had surrendered earlier Thursday to the FBI
and are expected to be presented in Manhattan federal court later in the
day.

- The U.S. Department of Justice is expected to hold a
news conference on Thursday afternoon about the arrests and charges.
