Newspaper Reporter Seared
For Labeling Chemtrails A 'Hoax'

From Rick Moors

Dear Sacramento Bee and Michael Doyle,

Never send Jimmy Olson to do Clark Kent's job. I refer to your simplistic, poorly written and out-and-out false article referring to the chemtrail "hoax."

I also received the same form letter Rep Radanovich got from the Air Force. Actually not one, but two, each worded identically, about a year apart, from two different authors. Both refer to some nebulous studies by various universities and media.

The actual statement was -

"The "chemtrail" hoax has been investigated and refuted by many established and accredited universities, scientific organizations, and major media publications."

When I asked the names of the studies or where they could be found and verified I was met with a resounding silence. They could not name one. Clark Kent would call this "checking the facts." Michael Doyle and Jimmy Olson would call this "letting sleeping dogs lie."

Many studies do exist, however pointing exactly in the opposite direction of the Air Force's disingenuous statements. These studies have been conducted by patriotic American citizens, spending their own time and money Not only have the EPA, AQMD, and FAA have refused to conduct any type of tests of air and water samples, but they have also added "contrail fact sheets" to their web sites all within the last two years in a desperate attempt to portray the spraying of billions of tons of barium and aluminum into our atmosphere as a normal situation.

Michael, since it's a safe bet you won't follow up on this or even respond to my letter, I'm not going to waste my time sending you links you'll ignore anyway, but there is ample evidence of at least 4 aerosol spraying programs going full tilt the last 2 1/2 years. Want a place to start?"

Check the Navy's VTPRE radar program, DARPA's unconventional pathogens counter-measures program, and Edwin Teller's papers on combatting global warming by spraying metal particles into the atmosphere. Or you might want to look at the role of HAARP, using barium to heat the ionosphere. Then you might want to question the connection between the mystery flu the CDC has been hiding for the last 2 years and our little "drought situation." Are you aware that barium sucks up all the moisture in the air? I thought not.

(Oh what the hell, here's a couple of links. Even cub reporters have to start somewhere)

By the way, there have been innumerable reports of all-day "contrails" spreading and forming a white-out when the temps are in the 90's with relative humidity at cruising altitude under 30%. These are scientifically IMPOSSIBLE conditions for the formation of ice-crystal contrails.

Learn how to read a skew-T chart, like us civilians have been forced to. You will see that you have been lied to and that you have a lot of work to do.

I guess there aren't any Clark Kents or Lois Lanes at your newspaper. What a pity that your readers are stuck with Jimmy Olson. Maybe your cub reporters would be better suited to reporting about dog shows, Rotary Club meetings and the like, and leave the serious research and reporting to us civilians.

Sincerely, Rick Moors

Lawmakers Swat Down Internet's Tall Tales
By Michael Doyle
Sacramento Bee Washington Bureau
Sunday, July 21, 2002 (Edited )

WASHINGTON -- When urban tales grow to mythical proportions, California lawmakers set folks straight. Congress has a hard enough time coping with the real world. Constituents clinging to the make-believe don't make it any easier.

Consider the urban and rural myths California residents have tendered as true in recent months.

There's the one about slavery reparation checks, $10,000 or more ready for the asking. Or the perennial legislation known as "Bill 602P," which would impose new taxes on Internet use.

Or the truth behind airplane contrails. Some Valley and foothill residents consider those white streaks in the sky evidence of airborne hazardous waste dumping by the Air Force. They want Congress to get it stopped -- now.

"I contacted the Department of Defense, and they assured me that the Air Force does not dump hazardous waste within the contrails of an aircraft," said Rep. George Radanovich, R-Mariposa. "They informed me that there is a scientifically proven reason the vapor trails remain in the air long after the aircraft is gone."

Just for the record, contrails come from high-altitude ice crystals formed when water vapor is ejected as part of a jet engine's exhaust fumes. Radanovich offers this explanation in the form letter his office prepared in response to repeated questions.

But the very fact that Radanovich needed a form letter illustrates the reach and persistence of such myths. Particularly in the age of the Internet, rumors concerning the federal government can quickly become accepted as fact.
