- Hey Jeff, I've predicted this for years...
-
- About your story on the Suspect toys for kids, I have
to tell you this. I have been half teasing for years now, since 1988, when
I first made a statement in high school history that the end of this country
and it's downfall will be when Pedophilia and Gladiator type games will
be back in vogue.
-
- My school mates laughed and the teacher thought it was
a little extreme as well. Remember, 1988 was a bit of a conservative period.
The most extreme things going on in television were probably Boy George
and crack was just making it on the scene. 'Just say NO' was the theme
as well. I checked out the information on the FR-OOZE pop. What irony
(maybe not ironic -ed) that the distributor has the following address in
New Jersey, (taken right from the

- Well, since that time, I've made the same statement when
the topic of changing times and the youth of today was the topic of conversation.
I have to tell you, I get more nods of agreement and comments from parents
and others who have also witnessed this disturbing trend of marketing sex
and violence to children. Companies like Abercrombe & Fitch with their
designer thongs for 8-12 year old girls being the latest? Come on.
-
- And the video games that the kids play, the parents blindly
buying them without reading the warning or parental labels as well. I sent
you an email a few months ago with the information you and a guest were
looking for talking about, "Grand Theft Auto 3". A "game"
where you steal cars, do drive by shootings, put hits out on people, kill
innocent pedestrians, have sex with and the ability to murder hookers so
you can get your money back. This is packaged as a game with a target market
starting from age 6 and up.
-
- Sure, my generation and my parents generation had their
fair share of sex and violence fed to us in Saturday morning cartoons.
Who hasn't watched Popeye? The story of a guy who has a skinny adolescent
looking girlfriend, who's boyfriend is always getting the crap beat out
of him by some tough guy who always gets to molest her each episode. I'm
being funny here, that's a very extreme way to view an innocent cartoon
set back in another time period. And if parents today were to speak
or treat the kids today, the way they did back in those old television
shows and movies, they'd have them taken away by DYFS by today's standards.
-
- So we almost had the Gladiator games, (remember Gladiator
games, and pay-per-view Ultimate Fighting Championship), perhaps a test
bed for what is yet to come? When they see the profit to be had in having
the prisoners from overcrowded jails fight one another to the death for
reduced jail sentences. And hey, why not let a guy out of jail for successfully
entertaining us these days? We owe them that, don't we? I mean we make
celebrities out of people like Joey Buttafuoco and just about anyone that
comes across our television screens, as long as they are marketable right?
-
- I am at a critical point here Jeff. I just need some
feedback if I am seeing this right or am just a little overconcerned and
paranoid? My wife and I want to start having children and well, I can't
give them the same talks my dad gave me when I was a kid going off to school.
Hell, I'm almost afraid to help them practice anything they might need
to recite like the pledge of allegiance or anything else that might be
offensive to say in school. Thank you if you should post this and get feedback
from your listeners.
- Sincerely,
- John Macedo Jr.

- Jeff - John has every right to be frightened to death
about having children! If I were to have children today, I'd try to be
on a farm, home schooling, (but not in Calif); if I couldn't do that, I'd
go to an underdeveloped country ( where Americans aren't hated -- Planet
Mars, maybe) and try to raise them there.
-
- Regarding these "toys" there should be such
an outcry from people, not only parents & grandparents - that these
producers of filth would be put out of business and never be seen or heard
from again! Pedophile sleezeballs come in all kinds of garb -- 3 piece
suits even! (Read "The Franklin Coverup" by John DeCamp)
-
- Why not start a boycotting campaign and shut down their
operation? Where are the "police"? Where are the "protect
th' chilun" groups? Where are the so-called Feminazi's who are so
concerned about "children"?
