Debris May Be Radioactive...

From Russell D. Hoffman

Dear Readers,

Despite a joint statement released by Karl Grossman and Movement Infiltrator Bruce Gagnon, saying "Columbia did not appear to have a nuclear payload on-board", Sheriff Tommy Maddox of the Nacogdoches, TX police force has just warned residents live on CNN (~9:15 am, Feb 2nd, 2003) against picking up debris, stating it might be "radioactive" or chemically dangerous. I have it on tape.

Also, see the report shown below, from a reader in South Dakota.

DO NOT TOUCH THE SHUTTLE'S "SPACE DEBRIS"!

Sincerely,

Russell D. Hoffman
Concerned Citizen
Carlsbad,CA

Please note that the half-life of Pu 239 is about 24,131 years, according to NASA's 1995 Cassini Environmental Impact Statement. This was incorrectly stated as 240,000 years in our previous email. We regret the error.

Also, please consider what might have happened if this debris had landed on a nuclear power facility or transportation vehicle! Some of the debris which has come down to Earth is over 10 feet long!

The "radioactive" word was just mentioned on TV here in S.D. The sheriff of
Nacogdoches, Thomas Kerss said he urged people to stay as far away as
possible from debris, because of toxic and radioactive exposures. He
mentioned that his department will check all sights for radioactive
contamination.

WARNING - Shuttle Tiles VERY Toxic!

From George in CA
2-3-2

Hi Jeff,

Shuttle tiles are made of "Polymeric Isocyanate", a compound of 14 of the
most toxic substance known to man. People need to be warned of the specific
danger from the Tile dust raining down all over them.

It's not just the Hydrazine fuel that is a danger, as the media would have us
believe.

Please do what you can.
