- Hello,
I took these on July 8th at approximately 8:50pm Central time. They were
shot on a Sony Cybershot DSC-P92 5 Megapixel cam 1/4 mile North of Porum
Oklahoma on Hwy 2. I took 5 shots, the first two standard the next 3 were
a part of a 3 shot burst. Pictures 1 and two were out of focus and non
revealing, pics 3 and 4, attached here, are the distance the object travelled
in less than 1 and 1/2 seconds. The object can be seen in the upper left
hand corner of untitledo2 as it began moving at a high rate
of speed. The picture labeled untitledf2 is the second in the burst and
I had rotated approximately 80-95 degrees.
I have shown this to some other people and we are baffled as to the origin
of this object. There is clearly a forward glow, a mid-line ridge, and
rear shadow giving it a saucer like appearance. Some have zoomed in to
check for altered pixels. The object zooms in nicely with Photoshop.
This is the first such sighting I have had since 1997 when 5 other acquaintances
and myself were in the driveway of a friends house and we witnessed a jet
at mid to high altitude in pursuit of an orb of light that made blatant
90 degree turns causing the jet to bank harshly. We retired for the night
confused. This confusion was compounded by the same occurence the following
night. I realize that a 3x zoom is really insufficient for such photos,
but the object is clearly discernable even from a good distance away. A
UFO enthusiast I'm acquainted with said my flash scared them away. Whatever
the case, I am going to watch the skies more between dusk on Tuesday until
dawn on Thursday.
