Taiwan Reports Four New
Probable SARS Cases

6-9-3

TAIPEI (Reuters) - Taiwan reported four new probable SARS cases on Monday, taking the total to 680, the third-highest in the world after China and Hong Kong.

The Department of Health said the latest infections of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome came from the Taipei Municipal Yang Ming Hospital which reported a fresh outbreak on Friday that broke a three-day streak of zero additional infections for the island.

The death toll remained unchanged at 81.

Before the latest outbreak, Taiwan had hoped it could be removed from the World Health Organization's travel advisory list by June 15.
