Where Is Iraq's Oil Going?
From Brasscheck
7-2-3

"It will be years before Iraq is pumping oil in earnest" "The infrastructure is in terrible shape" "The first tiny shipment of Iraqi oil is heading west." etc. etc. etc.

Whenever you see a story repeated over and over again, you can safely bet it's in place to cover over something else.

So where is Iraq's oil, especially the oil in its rich south eastern fields, going?

The same place it went before Gulf War I.

To Kuwait.

Except this time, instead of slanted drilling (going under the Iraqi-Kuwait border), the Bush family's old friends, the Kuwaitis are taking it out in broad daylight...if you have access to the satellite photos:

In case you missed the story the first time, here's the short story of why Iraq invaded Kuwait ten plus years ago:

"The whole dispute started because Kuwait was slant-drilling. Using equipment bought from National Security Council chief Brent Scowcroft's old company, Kuwait was pumping out some $14-billion worth of oil from underneath Iraqi territory. Even the territory they were drilling from had originally been Iraq's. Slant-drilling is enough to get you shot in Texas, and it's certainly enough to start a war in the Mideast.

Even so, this dispute could have been negotiated. But it's hard to avoid a war when what you're actually doing is trying to provoke a war."
