Bush Will Support Bill To
'Regularize' Undocumenteds

8-14-3

PHOENIX (Notimex) - The president of the United States, George. W. Bush, expressed his support towards a bill seeking to create a host-worker program and regularize undocumented immigrants within the U.S. This was informed by legislators supporting the initiative.

"President Bush was very enthusiastic about the initiative. He backs it and told us to take it to his staff so it can be assessed", said Federal Congressman Jim Kolbe.

The bill, called Land Border Security Law and Immigration Improvement, was recently introduced by Kolbe to the Congress, his colleague Jeff Blake and Senator John McCain, all Arizonan Republicans.

McCain and Kolbe accompanied Bush this week during a work visit to Arizona and took the time to fly in a helicopter and visit some areas of such state to go over this new bill.

Bush said he "would study very carefully this bill and that he would work with us to make it happen" McCain told the press.

Republican ex-presidential candidate added Bush assured he has always considered migratory issues as "high priority" topics.
