- PHOENIX (Notimex) - The president
of the United States, George. W. Bush, expressed his support towards a
bill seeking to create a host-worker program and regularize undocumented
immigrants within the U.S. This was informed by legislators supporting
the initiative.

- "President Bush was very enthusiastic about the
initiative. He backs it and told us to take it to his staff so it can be
assessed", said Federal Congressman Jim Kolbe.

- The bill, called Land Border Security Law and Immigration
Improvement, was recently introduced by Kolbe to the Congress, his colleague
Jeff Blake and Senator John McCain, all Arizonan Republicans.

- McCain and Kolbe accompanied Bush this week during a
work visit to Arizona and took the time to fly in a helicopter and visit
some areas of such state to go over this new bill.

- Bush said he "would study very carefully this bill
and that he would work with us to make it happen" McCain told the
press.

he has always considered migratory issues as "high priority"
