- It's becoming increasingly clear Saddam had apparently
been betrayed by his own closest protectors weeks ago and was being kept
a prisoner in a hole in the ground while they tried to arrange to sell
him for the $25 million - or more - in US reward money.
-
- In essence, Bush rescued Saddam Hussein. A fitting and
ironic closure...as the US created Saddam in the first place.
-
- Why should Bush want Saddam alive? Because Saddam is
not stupid enough not to have written down, in great detail, all the dirt
he has on the Bush I and Bush II cabals...and has it safely put away, probably
in multiple locations. That information is his ticket to ride. Bush had
to rescue him, among other reasons, to try to make sure the material stays
out of sight. Permanently.
-
- Saddam effectively lost control - and power - when a
number of his top generals and officials betrayed him, made their deals
with the US, and were extracted from Iraq just before the 'fall' of Baghdad.
-
- You can hear the details of their departure in Patrick
Dillon's riveting interview now available in our August 28 and September
6 Archives. Mr. Dillion had just returned from Iraq where he had videotaped
an Iraqi officer's eyewitness account of watching nearly a dozen Mercedes
race out onto the Baghdad airport runway... and directly up and into several
large US cargo planes which had roared in and then right back out during
the height of the battle for the airport...an operation conducted with
absolute precision and timing.
-
- All the talk about a hidden Saddam rallying his comrades
and coordinating the Iraqi resistance is now exposed for what it was:
yet another piece of media disinformation and mind manipulation.
