- SORIA - A cattleman from Monteuenga (province of Soria)
has reported the death of 170 sheep due to an attack by a "strange
animal" at the place they were kept, according to Guardia Civil (Spanish
National Police) sources.

- The sheep died of asphyxiation, suffocating each other
as they tried to cram into a corner of the farm. The fright was allegedely
due to the presence of a strange animal on the premises.

- A large portion of the sheep were pregnant and the material
damages are in excess of 16,000 Euros.
