- A few years ago I had a chance to read some of Herbert
Hoover's business letters. He wrote one to a mine operator in Bolivia in
which he insisted that he would not allow bribes to be paid for commercial
or political favors. That was Mr. Republican during the 1920's. He was
intelligent, compassionate and above all a man of integrity. He could never
support today's GOP today, which will use any means to get its ends, including
defaming veterans with false charges of cowardice, spreading false rumors,
rigging voting machines, and even putting people in harms way. They will
take any corporate bribe that comes along. Modern Republicans are completely
dishonorable and basically hucksters because they lie constantly knowing
they can always cover it up later with publicity campaigns and a tame press.
-
- From Nixon to Reagan to Poppy to Dubya, the GOP has been
America's political bully. It has practiced little else but the ancient
arts of force, fraud, and treason. However, what truly amazes me is that
the Democrats have allowed them to get away with it. Here's an incomplete
list:
-
- The McCarthy hearings were a travesty. They were a classic
case of slander and bullying. It took Eisenhower and the army to finally
put an end to it, but the Democrats just let it go on..
-
- The 1968 Peace Talks were sabotaged and the Vietnam war
was prolonged by Nixon and Kissinger so that Humphrey would lose. Believe
it or not, LBJ had Nixon's telephone tapped, and he had plenty of evidence
to send both Nixon and Kissinger to Leavenworth. LBJ kept the tap secret
and the traitors got off. Thousands of our soldiers died and Watergate
betrayal came later.
-
- Watergate felonies and scandals were so legion, that
I'm sure we have only heard of half of them.
-
- The Watergate break-in was an act of treason. Yet the
Democrats let Ford give Nixon a pardon, even though he was clearly a traitor.
It is OK to pardon an open and honorable "traitor" like Robert
E. Lee, but it is never OK to pardon a criminal who uses money, position
and fraud to undermine carry off a coup.
-
- Poppy Bush arranged to have the Iranian hostages held
long enough to defeat Carter and elect Reagan. This was treason, and kidnapping
American citizens. Oddly enough, the Clinton administration finally had
a chance to investigate this vicious crime, but they turned it down.
-
- Iran-Contra created a treasonous and unconstitutional
Reagan army that was equipped by selling arms to Iran (our enemies at the
time). The half-hearted investigation was never completed and the Iran-Contra
papers were sealed. (It is very important that we see these papers because
they may have included plans for subjecting this country to a military
coup.) Clinton chose not to investigate this clear act of treason either.
His thought was that it might interfere with starting his new domestic
program.
-
- Clinton's let bygones be bygones approach was repaid
by the most vicious, slanderous and seditious mud slinging operation in
our nation's history. Although Clinton was totally innocent, much of the
mud still sticks. Unfortunately, Clinton had too much respect for free
speech, so he let the well-financed lies cripple his presidency. In other
words he condoned sedition - a form of treason. When the actual sex scandal
and disgraceful impeachment farce came along, most of the damage had already
been done.
-
- Dubya Bush is essentially a hired gun for every form
of corruption. He was actively negligent in preventing 911. (I believe
he supported the attack, because control freaks never leave anything to
chance.). Bush managed to commit his first felony on his first day in office.
He had Reagan's and his father's papers locked up, even though the public
was entitled to see them. Bush is a major hustler and sociopath who has
committed innummerable felonies. There are plenty of grounds for impeachment
and eventual imprisonment for treason. The patriot act, the anthrax attacks,
and the Iraq war are all examples of felony treason. And, yet the word
"treason" is never uttered by the Democratic leadership.
-
- If Bush wins this next election he will be king. He has
to be a king in order to avoid Leavenworth. If he loses this next election,
he must be investigated, arrested and tried, along with most of the members
of his criminal administration. We just can't ignore treason again, and
especially on this scale.
-
- Our national household has become abusive. Republicans
slap everyone around, and the Democrats make excuses and let them off.
As long as money rules our elections, the Republicans can commit treason
and bully us all with impunity. If we don't get the money out, every election
will be like pulling the trigger in a game of Russian roulette. Sooner
or later even more vicious people will come to power and make us long for
the good old days of the Third Reich.
