- Terri tries SO hard to talk! She smiles and laughs.
She definitely recognizes her mom and is, as always, so happy to see her.
Can you imagine how much better she'd be able to respond if she had been
getting the forbidden therapy she's been denied for over a decade? Poor
Terri needs glasses, I've been told, and that is why her mom gets so close
to her face.

- If you have ever had contact with anyone with cerebral
palsy, (I have a cousin) then you'd recognize that Terri does have an acquired
form of cerebral palsy, a very severe case of it, but that's no indication
that her mind is not functioning and she is unable to think! Far from
it! She is doing amazingly well considering her years of neglect and mistreatment
and she obviously has a strong will to survive!

- She is certainly not in a 'persistent vegetative state',
nor in a coma!
