Getting Elected...(aka
The Fallacy Named Democracy)

By Hesham A. Enan

Many big-shot idiots around the world are claiming that the lack of 'democracy' is responsible for poverty and misery in the 3rd world. Neocons (aka the world's new jackals) claim this situation fuels threats to the "advanced nations".

First, I must ask... Advanced? $4000 suits and $200 meals do not make "advanced". Dog-Eat-Dog is far from "advanced". Interests, despite ethics is certainly not "advanced". Material gains are far from "advanced" human value..

And, I also ask, why is the 3rd world way behind? Has it not been colonized, then annexed, then paralyzed by the "advanced" nations? Is it not that "most" if not "all" 3rd world nations have had civilizations that helped the world advance? In science, medicine, arts, etc, etc? Is it not sad that medicine, as a symbol, is reverting to the basics laid by those nations centuries ago? Is the modern world not reverting to nature, to simple healthy life...to herbal medicine? To green and natural and calm?

To the way of life of the 3rd world, they are trying to change to "Build Consumers". In a world run by Money. The talk about "Democracy" amazes me.. The biggest claim is made by the US of A. It claims to be the model of Freedom and Democracy that the world should follow, religiously. It wants to export its sick, warped model of "democracy" to the low-income nations so they can 'improve'. I say: Thanks but no Thanks.

Democracy in America is run by money, special interest groups and the Media. All of which are openly prostituting themselves for more and more money (Yes, even money seeks more and more money). Yetm the average American is fooled in local elections by believing he/she are running their own lives. How pathetic. And the average American is fooled in presidential elections into feeling that he/she are "Decision Makers". Funny? No! Deaths and misery have resulted.

In Switzerland, if there is a suggestion to make a certain street one-way, people in the neighborhood are involved in the decision. In America, the ever so nice folks can make similar decisions yet they leave major actions involving the welfare of their grand-children to their rulers. Carte Blanche!

Ghaddafi, however warped his mind may be, wrote in his Green Book that Democracy is the "Guarantee That Minority Rules". Forget the man and just stare at the statement. Bush was elected by 17.5 Million Americans yet he rules the world. What kind of democracy is that? In October 2000, long before the complications, I declared the Elections in the US Illegal because I did not have a vote. And of the millions that voted for him, how many were swayed by charisma, how many by his ecology promises, how many by gay rights (God forbid..), how many for his abortion views, how many based on health-care, how many on welfare? It goes on and on, but the question remains: How many votes did Bush get on world affairs & relations. My guess is zero votes, at best.

Yet Bush has rocked "my cage". Me, a peaceful Egyptian. And he's rattled the cages of millions around the globe. Bush's advisors are playing a chess game which involves the lives of my loved ones and millions of other simple lives around the globe. Therefore, the question is, regardless of this particular regime in the US: Did I get to vote for the man who will starve my nation unless my leader, autocratic or elected- no matter- bends to "the" rules.?

And since America, via its previously-respected, now ugly-to-the-bone, Secretary of State, dictates rather than negotiates. What do I expect of my dictator when the ONLY elected Arab Leader, Yasser Arafat, is locked in a room by the evil Israeli Forces...named IDF (meaning: Israeli Defense Forces, actually the Israeli Demolition Forces.) Democracy, my foot.

The Israeli Democracy, shouted more and more often as a model of freedom, is simply Vampires, uniting with Vampires of a lesser kind to form a coalition government. Their sole ambition being to evenly and equally draw Palestinian blood in a heartless daily routine. And 18% of the nationals in Israel, The Original Palestinians, are treated like garbage. Democracy, my stinking foot.

Then we have the "One Man, One Vote", issue. A philosopher and a farmer get the same voting power? Well, the way it works is the weaker minds are swayed by the media, yet the media is run by advertising, and advertising is run by money. Huge machinery is making products and the "slaves" must buy. So, the media is swaying the weak, the poor and the stupid in any way that serves its masters. And the more fortunate are focused on their instincts as accentuated by the media. Ownership and bodily desires becoming the focus of the more fortunate, financially. They just became slaves of sorts.

And then winning elections requires funding. Guess who does the funding? Not the poor, not the people that will benefit or suffer. The funding is money feeding politicians in order to make more money. True and sad.

Now, let us look at Egypt as a model for democracy. Egypt led the world as a Pharaonic dictatorship. It was repeatedly "the" world's leading nation under dictatorships. It has seldom known democracy as such. Why does the US want democracy in Egypt? Egypt is both an agricultural AND a tribal society simultaneously. It is poor and rich, slow and fast. It is too controversial for Harvard to even attempt to understand. Egypt, as compared to any nation in the world, has the lowest rate of crime in view of social conditions and the highest co-existence between ethnic and religious groups that humanity has known.

Empires, of course, tried to play the groups against each other, the British, the Americans, and OF COURSE, Israel's ever-so-cute humanitarians...The Mossad. Actually, why does the US want democracy in the middle east altogether? Nice USA? Of course, not. The US is a blood sucker and will remain so (please read the history of the past six decades).

America has a trauma in the Middle East...a severe trauma. When the Islamic revolution overthrew the Shah of Iran, then the strongest US ally of the US in the Middle East - and as tough a dictator as dictators can be - the US embassy in Tehran was stormed and many documents were revealed. Documents that showed how this lovely model of democracy and freedom. The good old US of A, had extorted, bribed, killed, humiliated and tortured for its own well-being.

The documents betrayed the US's bullying and cheap manipulations of every single official in the area. "The area" meaning 28 Countries. But, then again, just ask why the two most heavily advertised Democracies of this day and age - The USA and Israel - are the two most hated, despised and discredited nations on the face of the earth?? Well-earned hatred. Why?

Every American should know the blood that was spilt for him to get the new car, house or even a Playstation for his children. Every American who voted for this or that candidate based on the color of their tie, the quality of their smile or the way they kiss babies during their campaigns. Every one of them should be accountable for their votes. They pick for issues trivial to others who will soon suffer or die. Vietnam, Grenada, Guatemala, Afghanistan and then Iraq. Many more in between.

In order to prosper, America "the democracy" must kill others. Secretly, when possible; openly under a barrage of pretexts and public brainwash and provocation. Just like Israel. America is about wiping out the original inhabitants. Happily killing...and then rewriting history. Birds of Feather. Killers!

But why does America want democracy in my land, I must ask? Well, as typical with current low-life, self-serving politics, it is certainly NOT for the good of my people. A bigger, more complex self-serving reason must be behind it. My reasoning is that the US can no longer afford regimes falling. Too big, too noisy. And the risks are too high. It has endured the fall of Iran's Shah, a long time friend and ally, falling flat on his butt. They even tried to sell him back to the Ayatollah, hours after he'd escaped to Central America.

America wants smaller Politicians to play with, to extort, to threaten and to manipulate.. These can be raised to the top or brought down silently. Much less noise and hassle than a whole regime coming up or falling down. All under the name of electoral choice. This is simply how the US is run. The system has been perfected and is now ready for export.

In summary, Hitler was elected.. and so was Sharon. Butchers elected. One causes a disaster and a World War erupts. The other is allowed to continue to butcher the innocent...daily without mistake. And then we have election years, voters' pressures, coalitions risking to fall apart. What is this? We're simply watching absolute misery being excused by the knowledge that a Politician needs to stay afloat. What a joke!

Chavez of Venezuela was elected, yet the US is doing everything to destroy him, even if millions have to starve and thousands would die in the process. Yasser Arafat was elected by a huge majority in an election supervised by the International Community, yet he's seen as undesirable. He's isolated and dealt with as a leper, confined to a room and dealt with with disdain. An obstacle to Peace, they say. An obstacle to business, in reality.

And Sharon was elected by a bunch of people in "fabricated" despair...people who want to live at another peoples' expense and yet are not prepared to pay the price. He kills and kills and censors what his own people can see on TV. They stole the land and want him to protect them from their victims. Yet the victims' elected leader is just scum. What on earth is this state of the world?

To summarize, America is a Dictatorship. The worst of them all. Most democracies are dictatorships in disguise. The world is run by money...money elects leaders...money brings them down. Lies are now truths. The truth is called Terrorism.. True Terrorism is called Freedom. Do yourself a favor.. Don't watch TV. Do not read the papers. Not unless you have the strength and will to understand. And if you do, beware. If you think and create your own opinion, some government, somewhere, hates your guts and it will stay after you until you "revert". Democracy is a cover-up for many atrocities, most world problems and an appeaser for those who have "some" brains.

I rest My Case.
