- Politics has a way of sanitizing visceral issues of life
and death in a way that rapes the conscience of a people.
-
- When terrorist factions strap bomb packs to the bodies
of retarded teenagers just so they can get revenge for a political assassination,
when they walk on to crowded city busses or into pizza joints to obliterate
men, women and children alike, when children are sent through check points
with what they are told are car parts which turn out to be explosives...
its simply beyond any political or religious argument or rationale. It's
insane. It's sick. It's unjustifiable. It's satanic. It's utter and perfect
evil.
-
- It doesn't matter at that point how bad the "bad
guys" are on the other side. It doesn't mean a thing. If anything,
it devalues all arguments and contentions and claims. It tells the world
"We've gone mad. Deal with it." And if that is the case, it must
be dealt with for the sake of the innocent people on both sides who are
now the target of death for death's sake.
-
- But how do you "deal with it"???
-
- If there is anyone who truly believes suicide/homicide
bombers are making any progress toward peace or resolution of the Israeli/Palestinian
problem, they are off their rocker. Actions like these don't send any message
of any value to the world. The reaction of the Zionist monster will always
be exactly the same to these acts -- further bloodshed; targeted assassinations,
further broken promises, more re-occupied territory, more bulldozed Palestinian
homes and olive groves, countless sniper shots at rock throwers, more dead
Palestinian teens, midnight raids, etc. It never ends. Tit for tat and
both sides slowly descend into the grave.
-
- One has to imagine that the sick bastards behind the
suicide/homicide bombings know this. They know the establishment foe is
sworn to eye-for-eye retaliation and that blowing up another group of Jews
or Muslims (they don't seem to care which, anymore) will simply result
in more retaliation. Perhaps that's the aim? Drive Israel to the absolute
edge of what could only be called a 'genocidal response?' If that's the
case, the Palestinian people need to rise up and hang their death-pact
sworn leaders at once. Rational Palestinians do not support these actions.
They know they lead to nothing but worse conditions for their people in
an already oppressive, aparthedic, racist, vicious regime which daily dehumanizes
them. Rational Palestinians know the only hope for peace is the absolute
dissolution of both Zionism AND Hamas. The price of so-called 'peace' has
become too high.
-
- Likewise, the people of Israel know that Sharon's bloodthirsty
regime is hell-bent on keeping the death-score as high as possible. They
know his blood past. They know his present madness and dirty dealings with
the Palestinians. They know he is without excuse. They, too, need to rise
up and destroy the Zionist machine before it destroys everyone.
-
- Meanwhile, the world is becoming slowly desensitized
to the conflict and violence. A new bombing or a new tactical strike by
Israel on a Hamas leader only results in a ho-hum shrug while people go
on eating their dinner waiting for the next no-surprise news story of death
and destruction in the holy land. Its a given now.
-
- We expect to wake up every day and hear of twenty dead
Palestinians in the street or sixteen dead Jews on a bus. A little old
lady here... a child there... a car bomb kills everyone in a market square...
people assassinated in the night or in broad daylight.
- Highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s, partly cloudy...
- buy the latest tooth whitener...
- be sure to use a rubber...
- lo-carb...
- feed the children...
- girls gone wild...
- back to the news.
- Another bombing...
- Another assassination.
- Another bombing...
- Another assassination.
- Another bombing...
- Another assassination.
-
- How long will this go on before we're exactly like those
character's in Terry Gilliam's film "Brazil," who barely miss
a beat in sipping their tea as part of a restaurant explodes and bodies
go flying? As we become desensitized and numbed, and succored on the propaganda
of the magical Bush barrier to terrorist acts right here at home, we too
go mad. We too tell the word, "We've gone mad. Deal with it."
-
- This has got to stop.
