- In my last rant, we talked about how Christianity and
Christians are being used by America's war profiteers. We discussed the
fact that War was America's Prophet of Profit. Today, I want to talk about
how Christianity has been twisted into a militaristic, genocidal death
cult.
A couple of months ago, I watched a mixed martial arts show on TV called
Pride Fighting. Pride and Ultimate Fighting Championship are the only fights
worth watching these days, because boxing is totally fixed. Boxing has
become a string of hand-picked fights, followed by a mismatched championship
fight where the "contender", who in most cases has fought no
one of significance, helps the "champ" pad his record.
As any fight fan knows, fighters enter the ring to their own selection
of music. Some guys, like Roy Jones Jr., record their own music in order
to intimidate their opponent and pump up the crowd.
Others use their ring entry to serve a more altruistic goal. For example,
world heavyweight champion John Ruiz used his title to deliver a distinctly
anti-war message during the Afghan campaign and the buildup to war in Iraq.
Mr. Ruiz entered the ring to the sound of Billy Joel's "Goodnight
Saigon". Here's a sample of the lyrics:
We met as soul mates on Parris Island,
- we left as inmates from an asylum.
- And we were sharp, as sharp as knives
- and we were so gung-ho to lay down our lives.
-
- We came in spastic like tameless horses,
- we left in plastic as numbered corpses.
- And we learned fast to travel light,
- our arms were heavy but our bellies were tight.
-
- We had no home front, we had no soft soap.
- They sent us Playboy, they gave us Bob Hope.
- We dug in deep and shot on sight
- and prayed to Jesus Christ with all of our might.
John Ruiz if you're out there somewhere reading this THANK YOU FOR TRYING.
There's another fighter worth mentioning here. A Japanese fighter named
Genki Sudo.
www.genkisudo.com/en/#
On the last Ultimate Fighting Championship, Genki Sudo actually made it
on the card. He's a big name in Japan, but over here, he hasn't been doing
so well the last few years. This is because Sudo-San uses his appearances
to deliver a message:
WE ARE ALL ONE
After every match, Genki walks around the ring with a patchwork quilt made
up many flags. The quilt says "WE ARE ALL ONE". He makes a point
of facing all four directions and displaying it. He makes sure the cameras
get the shot.
In fact, the UFC camera guys tried to film as little as possible of the
quilt as they could. Genki realized what they were doing, and refused to
leave the ring, continuing to hold his quilt until they got the shot. Even
Genki's manager tried to get him out of the ring, but Genki stood his ground,
and forced the cameras to get his message out before walking away.
But we must credit the UFC management for inviting Genki in the first place.
Sure, they put him first on the card, knowing no one would be in their
seats yet, and thus the likelihood of offending the warmongers in the crowd
was slim. But they didn't have to televise his match after the main event,
which they did. And in these times of political pressure, censorship and
racism, this was an act of bravery on the part of the UFC.
So hats off to UFC management for having the guts to finish their UFC 47
show with a positive message. A message of peace, not war.
Anyway, while watching Pride, I watched an American fighter enter the ring
to a very disturbing song. This guy was a 300lb monster named Ron Waterman.
He also happens to be a Christian Minister.
What was this song?
It was a Christian Evangelical heavy metal tune. When musicians write pop
music today, they almost always have a hook - a catchy phrase that gets
repeated, which people will remember. She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah. Pleased
to meet you, hope you guessed my name. Who let the dogs out - woof, woof-woof-woof.
You get the idea.
So Mr. Waterman enters the ring to this Christian metal tune. What was
the hook?
JESUS IS THE BOMB.
Ron Waterman's not the only one saying it. Another Jesus Freak named Kenny
Aaron also has a song out called Jesus Is the Bomb. For those of you shrugging
this off, or saying "no no no they mean Jesus is the BALM", go
do a Google on "Jesus is the bomb" and see for yourself.
Most of you will be pleased to know that Ron Waterman got his ass kicked.
He was so badly humiliated in the ring by Mirko Crocop, a Croatian policeman,
that he ended up on his knees in the turtle position hoping Mirko wouldn't
hit him anymore. The ref stopped the match because Waterman refused to
fight, and lay there curled up in a ball with his hands on his head rather
than face his opponent. It was a cowardly defeat, and was over in less
than five minutes. Mr. Jesus Bomb sank like a Led Zeppelin to a guy 100
lbs smaller than himself.
Christianity is being twisted by Evangelicals and Southern Baptists into
a Genocidal Death Cult. Herr Bush says "God is on our side".
Mr. Falwell and Robertson repeat it every day on their TV shows, to try
and get fools to sign up for war. After all, Bush is the right man, and
Jesus is the Bomb.
We've all been seeing what's going on in Iraq the last week. First, the
Blackwater contractors got what was coming to them in Fallujah, at about
the same time as Paul Bremer banned a Shiite newspaper.
Freedom for Iraqis huh? So much for free speech.
Anyway, the banning of this newspaper brought things to a head. Sadr and
his militias took to the streets, and a peaceful demonstration was fired
upon by American troops. Since then, all Hell has broken loose.
www.nytimes.com/2004/04/07/international/middleeast/07IRAQ.html?hp
According to the US Media, resistance has broken out in at least six Iraqi
cities. The Bushies are claiming this is a small revolt, and is limited
only to these six cities. While it may be true that only six cities are
fighting at this time, the reality is 75% of the Iraqi population lives
in those six cities.
According to the US Media, somewhere between 12 and 20 American soldiers
have died in the last 24 hours. But a far different story is being told
by the international media. According to Sky News, a Murdoch NewsCorp company
like Fox, 130 American soldiers have died in gun battles around Ramadi.
www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-1130577,00.html
Reuters and the Sydney Morning Herald are reporting that Sadr's milita
has taken American soldiers prisoner.
www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L07168927.htm
www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/04/07/1081326803448.html
"BEIRUT, April 7 (Reuters) - A top aide to the militant Iraqi cleric
Moqtada al-Sadr said on Wednesday that his supporters had captured a number
of soldiers from the U.S.-led coalition during clashes currently taking
place across a large swathe of Iraq.
"Some tribes have captured some occupation forces on the streets,"
Qays al-Khazali told a news conference in the Shi'ite Muslim holy city
of Najaf.
He gave no further details. The news conference was broadcast by Lebanon's
al-Manar television station, mouthpiece of the Hizbollah group.
There was no immediate comment on the report from the command of U.S.-led
forces in Baghdad"
So what, precisely, is going on here?
Is the Bush administration preparing to slam a missile into captured American
soldiers, so as to avoid a public hostage taking by Shiites? Is that what
this story of 130 American dead from a Pentagon source is about?
It makes sense. Bush does NOT want a hostage situation during an election
year, especially when it was the same deal Shiites holding Americans hostages,
that cost Carter the election in 1980. Politically, it would make more
sense to find out where the hostages are, and drop a fuel air bomb on them,
erasing all traces of them from the planet.
But I'm speculating here. Maybe they just have no idea what's going on
because the average soldier is basically a retard. After all, the UK just
tested their soldiers, and more than half of them read and write like 11
year olds. And the UK has a far superior education system to the USA, so
one must assume the average American soldier has the IQ of an educated
9 or 10 year old.
www.rense.com/general50/5.htm
"A confidential study into the educational standards of soldiers has
revealed that half of all new infantry recruits only have the reading and
writing skills of 11-year-olds.
The study commissioned by the Ministry of Defence, which the Telegraph
has seen, also discloses that a fifth of recruits have the literacy and
numeracy levels of seven-year-olds. Four per cent are at the standard of
the average five-year-old.
Among the problems uncovered were one soldier who admitted that he struggled
to write letters to his young daughter and another who wrote "riht"
for write, "cepe" instead of keep, and "rifel" for
rifle"
"The study into the educational standards of recruits was based on
the results of 2,000 basic skills assessments of new privates compiled
by Melanie Dickinson, a civilian instructor at the Infantry Training Centre
in Catterick, North Yorkshire.
It reveals that four per cent of new recruits possessed a basic skill level
equivalent to a five-year-old; 20 per cent equivalent to a seven-year-old;
50 per cent equivalent to an 11-year-old and 26 per cent had literacy levels
equivalent to GCSE grades D to G in English and mathematics"
Consider the dilemma here. We're sending our stupidest, most ignorant citizens
to Afghanistan and Iraq. We're being represented by the Fox jock mentality.
THAT is how we're perceived, based on the kind of people Afghans and Iraqis
encounter.
And then we wonder why things are going all to Hell.
The problem is, no rational, thinking being could possibly believe Tony
Blair and George Bush's bullshit. Belief in their lies has to be predicated
on faith that Jesus is the Bomb, or on being so colossally stupid that
one is unable to read a foreign newspaper.
-
-
- Thus, we're being represented in Iraq and Afghanistan
by religious extremists and retards.
So things are bad in Iraq. How would one go about making things even worse?
Perhaps one could make things worse by using the Jesus Bomb on a Mosque?
www.thewest.com.au/20040408/news/general/tw-news-general-home-sto122924.html
UNITED States marines fired three rockets into a mosque compound, killing
at least 40 Iraqis, as forces trying to quell an uprising of both Sunni
and Shi'ite Muslims fought three of the bloodiest days in Iraq since the
fall of Saddam Hussein.
-
- More than 200 people, including 170 Iraqis and about
30 coalition troops, have died in attacks in seven cities across the country,
sparked by the killing and mutilation of four civilian contractors last
week."
Maybe blowing up a Mosque isn't enough provocation. Maybe the Americans
need to do something worse, in order to get justification for genocide.
Hmmm maybe we should blow up some Iranian Shiite pilgrims during the holy
week?
www.payvand.com/news/04/apr/1045.html
Baghdad, April 7, IRNA -- Four Iranian pilgrims were killed and three others
injured by US forces, the official in charge of Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage
Affairs Organization in Kerbala announced Wednesday.
A vehicle carrying 11 Iranian pilgrims enroute from Najaf to the holy city
of Kerbala, was targeted by US military forces, Hossein Vaezi said regretting
that the four passengers were killed and three others were injured.
The Iraqi driver of the vehicle was also killed during the attack, he added..."
Brilliant eh?
In my last rant, I predicted that the US Response to the killing of the
Blackwater Profiteers would be to kill women and children.
I was wrong. They skipped past the women and children, and killed babies
instead. Go to the Al-Jazeera main page below, then check out the dead
babies killed by Americans in Fallujah in the last 24 hours.
The pictures can be accessed by clicking "Aljazeera Exclusive in Pictues:
Fallujah" on the right hand side of the page. Be warned, you will
be seeing what America TRULY stands for, and it's ugly. If you have a weak
stomach, don't click on the photos.
I'd post some pics with this email, but because of the large number of
viruses going around, I'm not going to send attachments unless someone
asks me to send the pics. I have them all saved to my hard drive if anyone
needs them and can't access the link above.
What's amusing about this situation is that the American premise is that
they're going in to serve an arrest warrant against Sadr for murder. Except
the warrant wasn't issued by Iraqi Judges. It was issued by Chalabi's Iraqi
Governing Council, and the Iraqi Jurists Association says the warrant is
"illegal and based on a lie".
www.islamonline.org/English/News/2004-04/07/article03.shtml
BAGHDAD, April 7 (IslamOnline.net) - As the Iraqi Governing Council Wednesday,
April7 , urged investigations into the American military use of "deliberate"
force against civilians, the Iraqi Jurists Association said the arrest
warrant against Shiite leader Muqtada Sadr is "illegal and based on
a lie".
"The arrest warrant is illegal and incorrect, as the occupation forces
issued it in disregard for sovereignty of Iraq's justice system,"
the Association said in a statement a copy of which was obtained by IslamOnline.net.
A U.S. military spokesman said two days ago the warrant had been issued
"in the last several months" by an Iraqi judge investigating
last April's murder of a pro-Western Shiite leader one year ago.
"What justice are you talking about? You have dismissed 170 justices
of their offices and violated the independence of justice here," read
the statement.
-
- Iraqi Minister of Justice Abdel-Rahim Al-Shibly had told
national press that he had not been aware of the arrest warrant against
Sadr"
So a few war profiteers get what they deserved, and the cowboys go apeshit.
They're out there killing hundreds of civilians. But this is always the
way of empires. Collective punishment. Twenty lives for an eye, a dozen
for a tooth. It was thus under the British, it is thus under the Israelis,
and it's thus under the Americans.
Observe Rudyard Kipling's tale of British Atrocities in India.
The Grave of the Hundered Head
THERE'S a widow in sleepy Chester
- Who weeps for her only son;
- There's a grave on the Pabeng River,
- A grave that the Burmans shun,
- And there's Subadar Prag Tewarri
- Who tells how the work was done.
-
- A Snider squibbed in the jungle,
- Somebody laughed and fled,
- And the men of the First Shikaris
- Picked up their Subaltern dead,
- With a big blue mark in his forehead
- And the back blown out of his head.
-
- Subadar Prag Tewarri,
- Jemadar Hira Lal,
- Took command of the party,
- Twenty rifles in all,
- Marched them down to the river
- As the day was beginning to fall.
-
- They buried the boy by the river,
- A blanket over his face-
- They wept for their dead Lieutenant,
- The men of an alien race-
- They made a samadh in his honor,
- A mark for his resting-place.
-
- For they swore by the Holy Water,
- They swore by the salt they ate,
- That the soul of Lieutenant Eshmitt Sahib
- Should go to his God in state;
- With fifty file of Burman
- To open him Heaven's gate.
-
- The men of the First Shikaris
- Marched till the break of day,
- Till they came to the rebel village,
- The village of Pabengmay-
- A jingal covered the clearing,
- Calthrops hampered the way.
-
- Subadar Prag Tewarri,
- Bidding them load with ball,
- Halted a dozen rifles
- Under the village wall;
- Sent out a flanking-party
- With Jemadar Hira Lal.
-
- The men of the First Shikaris
- Shouted and smote and slew,
- Turning the grinning jingal
- On to the howling crew.
- The Jemadar's flanking-party
- Butchered the folk who flew.
-
- Long was the morn of slaughter,
- Long was the list of slain,
- Five score heads were taken,
- Five score heads and twain;
- And the men of the First Shickaris
- Went back to their grave again,
-
- Each man bearing a basket
- Red as his palms that day,
- Red as the blazing village-
- The village of Pabengmay,
- And the "drip-drip-drip" from the baskets
- Reddened the grass by the way.
-
- They made a pile of their trophies
- High as a tall man's chin,
- Head upon head distorted,
- Set in a sightless grin,
- Anger and pain and terror
- Stamped on the smoke-scorched skin.
-
- Subadar Prag Tewarri
- Put the head of the Boh
- On the top of the mound of triumph,
- The head of his son below,
- With the sword and the peacock-banner
- That the world might behold and know.
-
- Thus the samadh was perfect,
- Thus was the lesson plain
- Of the wrath of the First Shikaris-
- The price of a white man slain;
- And the men of the First Shikaris
- Went back into camp again.
-
- Then a silence came to the river,
- A hush fell over the shore,
- And Bohs that were brave departed,
- And Sniders squibbed no more;
- For he Burmans said
- That a kullah's head
- Must be paid for with heads five score.
-
- There's a widow in sleepy Chester
- Who weeps for her only son;
- There's a grave on the Pabeng River,
- A grave that the Burmans shun,
- And there's Subadar Prag Tewarri
- Who tells how the work was done. - R Kipling
Kipling went on to explain in another poem how such brutality could be
justified by the Western way of thinking:
Arithmetic on the Frontier
-
- A GREAT and glorious thing it is
- To learn, for seven years or so,
- The Lord knows what of that and this,
- Ere reckoned fit to face the foe-
- The flying bullet down the Pass,
- That whistles clear: "All flesh is grass."
-
- Three hundred pounds per annum spent
- On making brain and body meeter
- For all the murderous intent
- Comprised in "villanous saltpetre!"
- And after-ask the Yusufzaies
- What comes of all our 'ologies.
-
- A scrimmage in a Border Station-
- A canter down some dark defile-
- Two thousand pounds of education
- Drops to a ten-rupee jezail-
- The Crammer's boast, the Squadron's pride,
- Shot like a rabbit in a ride!
-
- No proposition Euclid wrote,
- No formulae the text-books know,
- Will turn the bullet from your coat,
- Or ward the tulwar's downward blow
- Strike hard who cares-shoot straight who can-
- The odds are on the cheaper man.
-
- One sword-knot stolen from the camp
- Will pay for all the school expenses
- Of any Kurrum Valley scamp
- Who knows no word of moods and tenses,
- But, being blessed with perfect sight,
- Picks off our messmates left and right.
-
- With home-bred hordes the hillsides teem,
- The troop-ships bring us one by one,
- At vast expense of time and steam,
- To slay Afridis where they run.
- The "captives of our bow and spear"
- Are cheap-alas! as we are dear. - Rudyard Kipling
As a soldier on the frontiers of the British Empire, Kipling came to understand
the hypocrisy of the West. We see our own lives as special, and precious.
We see the lives of those not like us as being cheap, and subhuman. Two
faced to the bone, and rotten to the core.
There's a lesson to be learned here. The Brits learned (Tony Blair hasn't
learned this because he's an idiot) that one cannot maintain an Empire
through force and force alone. Censorship, oppression, lies, and bogus
Patriot Act warrants may work at home on a population so mentally ill that
half of them believe in Creationism, but it isn't going to work the world
over against educated people.
There's another humorous side to Bush's so-called Coalition of the Willing.
He's quickly finding out that they're not really a Coalition of the Willing,
and in fact are more of a Coalition of the Bought and Paid For But Not
Willing To Die For Bush's Stupidity.
Since the fighting has broken out in earnest, the coalition has been hiding
in their bunkers, or going home.
The Spaniards and Hondurans are leaving June 30.
Singapore pulled its troops out already.

The Japanese are also hiding in their bunkers, refusing to come out.
http://home.kyodo.co.jp/all/display.jsp?an=20040406220
The Italians have pulled out of their positions as well. Basically, only
Americans, Brits, and Mercenaries are doing the fighting. The others are
just there for window dressing, to make Bush and Blair look like internationalists
instead of Nazis. When it comes to actual fighting, the truth finds its
way to the surface.
Despite the chaos in Iraq, Bush insists that sovereignty will be handed
over to the Iraqis on June 30. He's insistent on this. So is Paul Bremer.
How on earth does this make sense?
Think like the CIA and Bush Senior. They've already hand picked the guy
they want to rule Iraq. Ahmed Chalabi. They've created a crisis which will
attract and thus weed out the most militant of the extremists in Iraq.
They're leaving the US Forces on the ground after June 30. But they're
leaving the Iraqis "in charge" of their own "sovereign"
state.
Can you think of a better way for Ahmed Chalabi to ride in as a hero than
for Chalabi and the Iraqi Governing Council to put down an insurrection
in Iraq and restore order?
It's a GAME, people. The Iraqis are being deliberately provoked, in order
to gravitate all the resistance fighters, both Sunni and Shia, into one
group. Chalabi will get to put down this revolt BEFORE elections are held.
Get it?
He's already being blamed for misleading the White House and the Pentagon.
The bought and paid for American media are now running the stories about
Chalabi's cousin giving false WMD info to the Pentagon, months after it
was reported elsewhere. Right on time for the Bushies, when they need to
distance themselves from Chalabi, and pretend they don't like him anymore.
"Last month, Britain's Daily Telegraph asked Chalabi about the recent
reports, especially by David Kay, that Saddam didn't have weapons of mass
destruction-which Chalabi and his boys had been heralding-after all. His
reply was, or should have been, instructive:
We are heroes in error. As far as we're concerned we've been entirely successful.
That tyrant Saddam is gone and the Americans are in Baghdad. What was said
before is not important. The Bush administration is looking for a scapegoat.
We're ready to fall on our swords if he wants.
Whose sword is Chalabi swishing now? Sistani's? His own? Or possibly (could
our guys be this clever?) still America's? The thing about eager exiles
is that nobody really knows..."
See what he's doing here?
Taking the blame for Bush, framing himself as a hero who's willing to fall
on his sword, so long as his mission to remove Saddam is accomplished.
Giving Bush plausible deniability, and making people think Bush and Chalabi
aren't all buddy-buddy, which helps Chalabi's image with Iraqis. But Chalabi's
REAL agenda is the privatization of Iraq, and the auctioning of its oil
assets.
At the same time as Chalabi is being helped up the Shiite popularity ladder
(he's a Shiite), the Clerics are being pushed into Sadr's corner out of
political necessity. Sistani, who is Bremer's REAL problem, can't come
out against Sadr under the current political climate, and the Americans
know this.
-
-
- www.rferl.org/featuresarticle/2004/04/ece1ed84-6e14-4782-ab1a-bdb5de045b52.html
So any potential challenger to Chalabi as representative of the Shiite
majority is being boxed in or killed. It's exactly what was done in Afghanistan.
Take out or marginalize anyone who could beat Karzai in the Loya Jirga
election. Pick em off until the only candidate left is the American's oil
guy.
Just watch what happens between now and the end of July.
I can already hear the cries of "hypocrite" from the Christian
Wrong regarding this rant.
"How can you say you're against religious extremism, and then criticize
Bush for marginalizing religious extremists in Iraq, if that's what's he's
doing?"
It's like this: I'm against ALL religious extremism. But we must lead by
example. The most racist, ignorant, insular extremist Christians on earth
are in the Southern United States. They've controlled the Presidency, and
US Foreign policy, since Jimmy Carter. No one can get elected in the USA
unless they go to church and say they believe in a non-existent God, because
there are too many intellectually challenged fools in the USA who believe
in fairy tales.
If Americans have the right to elect religious extremists in free and fair
elections, that right should apply to everyone else as well. When America
stops electing religious extremists, then and only then do they have the
right to deny others a Theocratic form of government.
The problem is education. 40% of schools in America teach Creationism as
an equal theory to Evolution. For the average Redneck who can't pronounce
let alone spell sedimentary layers; fossilization; evolution; and natural
selection, it is much easier to accept Creationism, which is taught by
those who share the same diminished intellectual capacity, in a language
they can understand. And just to make sure they understand, the message
is repeated 24 hours a day on the 700 Club, with a massive dose of hate
against Muslims for good measure.
Well, I guess I should wrap this up. But there's just one more thing about
this uprising that bugs me - how convenient for Bush that the Shiites have
been provoked to conflict on the same week that Condi Rice testifies before
the 9/11 Commission.
Rice testifies on live TV tomorrow morning, 9am EST. Yes, that's 6AM on
the West Coast. Again, awfully convenient for Bush, isn't it?
Make sure you tune it to watch it, or set your VCRS. This could be make
or break for Election 2004.
Peace
