- BAGHDAD (Reuters) -- A U.S.
soldier was killed in a roadside bomb attack in the northern Iraqi city
of Samarra in the past 24 hours, a U.S. Army spokesman said Thursday.
-
- Another U.S. soldier died in Mosul of a "severe
cardiac event." The U.S. military had earlier said there had been
two combat deaths in the last 24 hours.
-
- It was not clear whether the latest combat death had
already been included in the Pentagon's toll, which rose by eight on Wednesday.
According to that data, at least 93 U.S. soldiers had been killed in action
in Iraq so far in April.
