- WAR is a racket. It always has been.

- It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable,
surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It
is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses
in lives.
A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it
seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group
knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few,
at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.
In the World War [I] a mere handful garnered the profits of the conflict.
At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United
States during the World War. That many admitted their huge blood gains
in their income tax returns. How many other war millionaires falsified
their tax returns no one knows.
How many of these war millionaires shouldered a rifle? How many of them
dug a trench? How many of them knew what it meant to go hungry in a rat-infested
dug-out? How many of them spent sleepless, frightened nights, ducking shells
and shrapnel and machine gun bullets? How many of them parried a bayonet
thrust of an enemy? How many of them were wounded or killed in battle?
Out of war nations acquire additional territory, if they are victorious.
They just take it. This newly acquired territory promptly is exploited
by the few -- the selfsame few who wrung dollars out of blood in the war.
The general public shoulders the bill.
And what is this bill?
This bill renders a horrible accounting. Newly placed gravestones. Mangled
bodies. Shattered minds. Broken hearts and homes. Economic instability.
Depression and all its attendant miseries. Back-breaking taxation for generations
and generations.
For a great many years, as a soldier, I had a suspicion that war was a
racket; not until I retired to civil life did I fully realize it. Now that
I see the international war clouds gathering, as they are today, I must
face it and speak out.
Again they are choosing sides. France and Russia met and agreed to stand
side by side. Italy and Austria hurried to make a similar agreement. Poland
and Germany cast sheep's eyes at each other, forgetting for the nonce [one
unique occasion], their dispute over the Polish Corridor.
The assassination of King Alexander of Jugoslavia [Yugoslavia] complicated
matters. Jugoslavia and Hungary, long bitter enemies, were almost at each
other's throats. Italy was ready to jump in. But France was waiting. So
was Czechoslovakia. All of them are looking ahead to war. Not the people
-- not those who fight and pay and die -- only those who foment wars and
remain safely at home to profit.
There are 40,000,000 men under arms in the world today, and our statesmen
and diplomats have the temerity to say that war is not in the making.
Hell's bells! Are these 40,000,000 men being trained to be dancers?

In 1935, two-time Congressional Medal of Honor winner; General Smedley
Butler published the words above in his mini-book, War Is A Racket. He
flat out announced to us that the world's millionaires and billionaires
were arming the planet in order to start the biggest round of war for profit
the globe had ever seen.
Four years later, the world was at war, and the Bush family made its fortune
by trading with the Nazis.

Today, April 1, 2004, is often referred to as April Fool's day. The sad
reality is, it's been April Fool's day on us all for more than a year now
- since the day Bush began the full on invasion of Iraq to get non-existent
weapons of mass destruction. In fact, it's been April Fool's day since
the Spanish American War.
Throughout history, a great many important events have happened on April
1.
An American businessman, Oliver Pollock, invented the $ sign on April 1,
1778.
And what an April Fool THAT'S turned out to be, eh?
Today, Mr. Pollock's $ is stamped on Fiat currency the world over, none
of it backed by silver, gold, or any other commodity.
April 1, 1863, Abraham Lincoln began the process of Conscription - the
Draft - in order to fill the ranks of his Union Army during the American
Civil War. Men getting off a boat full of immigrants, thinking they were
disembarking to freedom in the Land of the Free, were promptly drafted
into the Union Army, handed marching papers, and sent off to war.
"No, Son. This isn't JUST the Land of the Free. It's the Land of
the Free, and the Home of the Brave, too. So be brave, and go kill people."
Haha, April Fool. But wait. It gets better.
Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. When Abe Lincoln ran for election in
1864, he needed a hook to try and win some votes in the South, seeing as
how he was fighting a war against the Southern states at the time. So
he went and picked a Democrat as his running mate. That man was Andrew
Johnson.
Keep in mind, this was a vastly different Democratic Party in 1864. One
of their campaign songs was a parody on Yankee Doodle Dandy called Nigger
Doodle Dandy, which was written in an attempt to shame whites into voting
against Lincoln.
In 1865, Lincoln was assassinated, and Vice President Johnson became President.
Johnson was a real piece of work. Eventually, the Senate would move to
impeach him, but they lost on all 3 counts by 1 vote.
In March of 1866, A Republican controlled Congress passed the Civil Rights
Bill. It gave former slaves the right to be citizens, and enter into contracts,
sue or witness in court, and own land.
Naturally, Johnson vetoed the Civil Rights Bill, on the grounds that blacks
were unqualified for citizenship.
On April 1, 1865, for the first time in American history, Congress overrode
a Presidential Veto by casting a 2/3 majority vote in both Houses, and
the Civil Rights Bill became law.
The joke was on black people though. They had to wait 99 years, and for
two more assassinations, for another Southerner named Vice President Johnson
(LBJ) to actually give them equal rights. The Civil Rights Act became
law July 2, 1964.
If there's a lesson to be learned here by Bush and Kerry, it's this: when
the nation is divided, if you want to finish your term in office, don't
pick a Southerner named Johnson as a running mate.

- COLONIALISM AND MANIFEST DESTINY
It's pathetic how history repeats itself. Like cattle, mankind allows
itself to be led this way and that by a handful of greedy aristocrats.
In William McKinley's time, they called it Manifest Destiny. Today, they
call it Compassionate Conservatism.
Many people were shocked when Anne Coulter, the goose-stepping Barbie Doll
of the Christian "Right", wrote these words after 9/11:
"We know who the homicidal maniacs are. They are the ones cheering
and dancing right now. We should invade their countries, kill their leaders
and convert them to Christianity."
Observe the words of William McKinley regarding what to do with the Philippines:
"there was nothing left for us to do but to take them all, and to
educate the Filipinos, and uplift and civilize and Christianize them, and
by God1s grace do the best we could by them"
The best we could do for them. McKinley's "best" involved appointing
William Howard Taft as Overseer of the Philippines, in a position similar
to the position Paul Bremer has in Iraq. Taft oversaw the creation of the
modern day concentration camp that became the model for Hitler and Stalin.
Even 100 years ago, the Republicans loved their Orwellian Doublespeak.
They called their Muslim concentration camps "Pacification Camps".
We all saw what happened to the American contractors/profiteers in Fallujah
yesterday. In typical fashion, the US Military has used American doublespeak
regarding how they intend to respond to the Fallujah attack.

are not going to do a pell-mell rush into the city. It's going to be deliberate.
It will be precise and it will be overwhelming. . . . We will reestablish
control of that city and we will pacify that city."

American leaders love framing things in "black and white". During
the campaigns to exterminate the First Nations, the US Army used the slogan
"the only good Indian is a dead Indian".
The slogan at the US Army's Moro Pacification camps was, "A Good Moro
is a Dead Moro".
They took this policy to heart. While we will never be certain of the
precise number killed, some 300,000 Muslims died in US captivity in the
Philippines, with somewhere between five hundred thousand and a million
killed between 1900 and 1916. Only 20,000 or so Moro fighters were killed
during this time. The rest were civilians whose only crimes were the color
of their skin, their religious beliefs, and not wanting to be ruled by
Christians.
The war against the Moro was a scorched earth campaign against Muslims.
Americans may have forgotten about this period of their history, but it's
a little harder to forget for the people on the receiving end of such brutality.
That's why the Moro Liberation Front fights so damn hard today. They will
never surrender to Christian Nazis.
America hated Muslims so much that they even designed the Colt .45 specifically
for the purpose of slaughtering Muslims. The Army held a gunmaker's competition,
and Colt got the contract. In fact, The Colt .45 1911 celebrated its birthday
two days ago, on March 29.
Today, with the rediscovery of Muslims as America's genocidal flavor of
the month, one can even order a replica of the original 1911 Moro killer,
and reminisce about the good ole' days with pistol in hand.

Contrary to the name it's being sold under, WW I, the Colt .45 was NOT
designed and put into service during WW I. World War I didn't start until
three years later. No, this gun was tailor made to kill Muslims, and that's
a fact.
Colt made its fortune off the Spanish American War and World War I. The
company is an integral part of the US military. They're the go-to-guys
for individual, personal violence. Today, they make the Colt .45, the
M15, M16, M4 carbine, M203 Grenade Launcher, and the Colt 9mm. They also
make the AR15 series rifle for domestic law enforcement to use against
the American people.
Looking at what happened in the Philippines convinces me that unless something
drastic happens in the USA in the next few years, America's in for a LONG
ride in Iraq. Like Bush in Iraq, Teddy Roosevelt declared the war in the
Philippines over prematurely. He announced the ending of the war in 1902.
They were still fighting fourteen years later.
In 1913, Woodrow Wilson declared that after a period of transitional government,
similar to Paul Bremer's Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq today,
the Philippines would enjoy self-rule.
The US Occupation of the Philippines lasted 94 years, until November 1992.
Nine years later, Americans are once again back in the Philippines killing
Muslims.
Anyone want to bet that Bush has a similar plan in mind for Iraq?
He's already found a loophole that the CPA claims gives America the authority
to sustain the occupation after the handover of "sovereignty"
on June 30.

- ROUND, ROUND WE GO
In 1898, the established base commodities for trade were gold, silver,
and foods. Oil was on the way up the ladder to being number one, but it
wasn't there yet. The Spanish American War was about stealing Spain's
agricultural base to ensure America's dominance in the Americas, and in
the Western World.
And even back then, the Yale Fraternal Order of the Skull and Bones were
manipulating America into war for profit. William Howard Taft was a Bonesman.
Skull and Bones families were invested in United Fruit, the primary beneficiary
of the war. Today, a Bonesman is in the White House. Unocal, the prime
mover of foreign policy in Afghanistan, was founded by Christian Fundamentalist
Lyman Stewart, whose descendants were also Bonesmen. Both the Afghan President
and the US Ambassador to Afghanistan are former Unocal Employees. A Bonesman
runs the SEC as well, ensuring no proper investigation into Bush's insider
trading at Harken Energy.
And the punchline?
The Democratic Candidate, John Kerry, is also a member of the Skull and
Bones.
These are not nice people. Skull and Bones was founded in 1832 with money
from the Russell Trust. The Russell trading company dealt in white power,
black slavery, and the poisoning of the human race with opium.
Today, Bush is pushing the heroin trade's profits into record numbers by
waiving all sanctions against Afghanistan as a narcotics producing nation.
Bush is also helping to overthrow black governments, like in Haiti, as
punishment for President Aristide trying to raise minimum wage to two dollars
a day.
Gee, what a surprise.
These people from the WASP elite power base are getting really "in
your face" with their racism. The POTUS walks around calling people
from Pakistan "Pakis".
They appoint John "Jim Crow" Ashcroft as Attorney General - a
man who fought against civil rights his entire life. They call their war
on terror a Crusade. They pass special laws that target Muslims and Arabs,
singling them out for persecution.
They even named their first new amphibious assault warship, a ship whose
sole purpose is invasion of foreign soil by the US Marine Corps, the USS
WASP.
"USS WASP (LHD-1) is the lead ship of an all-new class of multipurpose
amphibious assault ships built by the Ingalls Shipbuilding division of
Litton in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The Navy-Marine Corps team's newest
amphibious warship has as its primary mission the support of a Marine Landing
Force."
Funny thing about the history of this particular breed of WASP. It's really
a Scorpion in disguise. The first WASP was a merchant schooner originally
named SCORPION and purchased by the Continental Navy in late 1775.
But we were talking about Colonialism, and April Fools.
On April 1, 1867, the British stole Singapore, Penang, and Malakka. April
1, 1905, they stole Kenya. April 1, 1924, they stole Rhodesia, on the
same day a German court sentenced Hitler to five years hard labor for the
Beer Hall Putsch.
I guess the April Fool's was on the German government, and on the Jews,
eh?
They should have shot the bastard. Nine years later, on April 1, 1933,
Hitler began the persecution of Jews with the Nazi boycott on Jewish businesses.
Four years later, April 1, 1937, the Brits stole Aden.
Two years later, April 1, 1939, Roosevelt officially recognized Generalissimo
Franco's fascist regime as being the legitimate government of Spain.
Six years later, April 1, 1945, the US invaded Okinawa. To this day, they
refuse to leave, monopolize all the best waterfront property, rape little
girls for fun, and point their weapons batteries at Japanese schools.
I have videotape of these weapons batteries for anyone who doubts this
is so.
Two years later, April 1, 1947, the first boatload of Jewish immigrants
to Israel landed at Port Eliat, officially commencing 57 years of Israel's
colonization of Palestine.
During the WW II era, America once again needed to frame the world in black
and white. Slogans were the rage, and Roosevelt, like Bush, needed a forge
a "with us or against us" mentality.
To this end, the USO became very useful. Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and others
helped spread the "no middle ground" message wide and far. Take
a look at Johnny Mercer's lyrics from Here Comes the Waves - a 1944 Bing
Crosby film about a Navy crooner:

In recent years, Islam has been fighting back. April 1, 1974, Ayatollah
Khomeini announced his plan for an Islamic Republic in Iran. April 1,
1979, the US-Sponsored Shah was given the boot, and Khomeini formed his
government.
That particular April Fool's joke was on Jimmy Carter, who lost the election
because George H W Bush flew to Paris and made a deal with the Iranians,
ensuring that they wouldn't release the hostages before the election in
exchange for an arms-for-hostages side deal when Reagan became President.
While illegally arming Iran, Reagan, Bush and Rumsfeld also armed Saddam
Hussein, profiteering off both parties during the Iran-Iraq war.
It's all about War for Profit, and it always has been. Participation in,
and support for war, is for fools and profiteers. The fools go off to
die, while the WASP elite profiteers. Naturally, the profiteers pay people
to create songs and films to go with their war for profit, to make sure
the fools know that God is on their side, and theirs alone. Today, the
profiteers own ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and CNN.
And while turning the people into April Fools, the profiteers make DAMN
SURE that the fools think the war is about Freedom, Christian values, and
weapons of mass destruction while the parasites cash their dividend cheques
and laugh all the way to the bank.
Just look at what's happening in Libya today. Tony Blair is in a serious
hurry to normalize relations with Libya, after 60 years of the cold shoulder
from the UK. Why the rush to make nice-nice with Qadaffi?
A month ago, Royal Dutch Shell Chairman Phil Watts was fired for knowingly
and deliberately overstating Shell's proven reserves from 1996-2001. It
was a move designed to bolster share value, similar to Enron's price-fixing
and artificially inflated earnings moves.

- Note that Blair openly advertises on behalf of Shell
that they're within days of striking a deal. He does so because Shell
can't make this announcement on their own behalf due to stock market rules,
so Blair helps them out with free advertising.
Note that British Aerospace, aka BAE, also gets a free plug, and is first
in line to profiteer off the Libyan arms embargo being lifted. But so
far, no announcement from Bush that America intends to do the same in the
immediate future.
But that's not the whole story here. What Blair ISN'T telling you is that
BAE is no longer a British Crown corporation. It's been privatized, and
is owned in part by the Carlyle Group - Bush's dad's employer.
So while American companies are locked out for the time being, Bush uses
Blair, BAE and the Carlyle Group to get a heads up on the war profiteering
for his own family, before other American companies can get involved.
This coming from the guy who said, "let no one profiteer from these
attacks", one week after September 11.
Nice little scam, isn't it?
Anyone want to bet that normalized relations, and a lifting of the arms
embargo, are contingent upon Qadaffi doing a deal with Shell, and buying
several hundred million dollars worth of junk from Bush family enterprises
like BAE?
Like I said, it's all about war for profit. America is afraid that if the
American people see Saddam and Qadaffi and Chavez spending oil revenues
on public works FOR THE PEOPLE, Americans might start thinking that they
too are entitled to share in the wealth of the nation's natural resources.
And that just won't do.
They want the leaders of oil-rich nations to give their oil revenues back
to WASPS, in exchange for weapons. Those who play ball, oppress their
people and buy weapons from the West get to be as nasty and dictatorial
as they wanna be. Those who spend too much on public works and don't send
enough of their oil profits back to the States get sanctioned, and then
invaded.
It's the one repeating pattern you can count on in 20th century history:
America causing conflict through covert action, arming both sides of the
conflict, demonizing the winner, and then turning a profit by invoking
the Prophets.
WAR is America's Prophet, and we're all sacrificial lambs. McGenocide
- over two million Iraqis served, half of them children under the age of
five.
It's up to our generation to break this cycle of madness. And break it
we must, because getting off the treadmill, dismantling the military industrial
complex, and ending the US military occupation of 135 countries is the
ONLY way to
