- KERRY GIVES UP PRO-PALESTINIAN HINTS, reports (Ha'aretz)
Washington correspondent Nathan Guttman, rubbing in the fact that Kerry
is desperately chasing Bush's love affair with Ariel Sharon.
-
- Guttman says that as soon as the Washington Post reported
that "Bush had made some headway in the race to win American Jewish
support,'' in his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Sharon, "Kerry
didn't waste a minute, and jumped on the bandwagon, announcing his support
for Sharon's plan'' for disengagement in Gaza.
-
- In fact, Guttman says, Kerry had requested a meeting
with Sharon, but the Israeli government officials said that it was impossible
to schedule it, but, Kerry will be invited to Israel to meet Sharon.
-
- Two weeks before Sharon met Bush (April 14), Kerry invited
three foreign policy advisors to his home in Massachusetts to discuss the
Israel-Palestine policy.
-
- These were: Dennis Ross and Martin Indyk, both from the
AIPAC spin-off, the Washington Institute on Near East Policy (WINEP), and
former National Security Advisor Sandy Berger.
-
- After that, Kerry teamed Up for a tour through Florida
with loser Sen. Joe Lieberman, who then announced that in a John Kerry
administration, there will be no change in the Iraq policy!
-
- No wonder Kerry is collapsing in the polls.
-
- -- WHAT DO YOU EXPECT WHEN YOUR MIDDLE EAST SPECIALIST
IS CALLED "FOOTLIK''?
-
- John Kerry's "senior advisor on Middle East and
Jewish affairs'' is called Jay K. Footlik, and in defending Ariel Sharon's
assassinations of Hamas leaders, and grabbing of Palestinian occupied land,
"Footlik'' lives up to his name. `
-
- "Just because Bush is for it doesn't mean we have
to be against it,'' says Footlik, in a April 25 article in the Israeli
newspaper, {Ha'aretz}.
-
- "As long as it is good for the security of Israel
and helps bring down (!) the level of violence, then Kerry is for it. In
what concerns the safety of Israel and its well-being, the U.S. is united,
and even in an election year, this is not a partisan issue.''
-
- Footlik, an American from Illinois, headed up "Community
Outreach" for Lieberman's recently deceased Presidential campaign.
-
- He worked for the Clinton White House as a liaison to
AIPAC, etc. in 1993, reports {Ha'aretz}.
-
- Reportedly, the original Mr. ``Footlick'' in the Democratic
Party, Dirty Dick Morris, who advocated all of the copy-cat Republican
Party policies for President Bill Clinton, is no relation to Kerry's Mr.
``Footlik.''
