'America Far More
Oppressive Than Saddam'
Zaman Online
5-8-4

Iraq Democratic People's Front President Alam Rasim Al Sammerai said earlier today that America persecutes the Iraqis more than Saddam Hussein ever did.

Sammerrai, in a press meeting with Iraqi Turks Culture and Solidarity Association President Aydin Beyatli, said that U.S., which promised to bring democracy to Iraq, has instead spilt blood and caused tears to be shed in Iraq today.

Sammerrai explained that not even one U.S. soldier succeeded in entering Fallujah. He pointed out that even though the soldiers were organized and bombarded the city with heavy artillery, tanks, and planes, their siege against the resistors failed. He then added, "But during these attacks, many houses were destroyed and 3,000 families were forced to flee their homes and live in tents."
