- It's instructive that some of the most useful analyses
about how contemporary America really works come from the memoirs of gangsters.

- In case you didn't notice - and I didn't until I picked
up "I Heard You Paint Houses" - the mystery of the 'disappearance'
of Jimmy Hoffa has been solved. He was done in by long time friend, Teamster
official, and veteran hit man Frank Sheeran and his body was cremated in
a mob-controlled funeral parlor.

- But that's not the most interesting part of Sheeran's
life story.
-
- First some background... Sheeren was a *major* mob figure.
US Attorney, Rudy Giuliani listed him as a member of 'The Commission' along
with people like Tony Salerno, Tony Provenzano, and Carmine Persico.

- In addition to his Sheeran's other skills, he was a skilled
hit man who, according to his own account, killed people with the same
nonchalance people change socks. It wasn't unusual for him to be sent
to kill two different people in two different cities over a single weekend.

- Sheeran's biography "I Heard You Paint Houses"
was written by Charles Brandt a former prosecutor and Chief Deputy Attorney
General of Delaware, and a nationally recognized expert on cross-examination
and interrogation techniques. Brandt was rigorous in his efforts to document
Sheeran's life story.

- Some fascinating new information that appears in the
account of Sheeran's life...

- 1. Chicago boss Sam Giancana was often accompanied at
meetings with Jimmy Hoffa by none other than Jack Ruby. (Pg. 119) Dan
Moldea got independent confirmation of this and it appears in his 1978
book 'The Hoffa Wars.'

- 2. David Ferrie was New Orleans boss Carlo Marcello's
personal pilot.

- Sheeran recalls an incident where he was instructed to
deliver an empty truck to a airfield in Maryland.

- Another truck appeared filled with soldiers who loaded
uniforms, weapons and ammunition aboard Sheeran's empty rig. David Ferrie
was present (he arrived by private plane) and provided Sheeran with paperwork
to help him avoid being detained by police. He instructed Sheeran to deliver
the truck and its contents to E. Howard Hunt and a group of anti-Castro
Cubans in Jacksonville. (Pg. 129)

- 3. The method of recruiting deranged individuals to use
as assassins and then arranging for them to be killed on the spot is discussed
knowingly by Sheeran. The mob used it occasionally when they wanted to
kill someone at a large public gathering and/or were not able to get the
person alone. (Pg. 153)

- 4. Sheeran was ordered to deliver a package which he
believed contained three rifles to Campbell's Cement in Baltimore, MD.
David Ferrie and a member of the Genovese crime family, who Sheeran knew
but would not name for Brandt, picked up the delivery.

- A few days later John F. Kennedy was assassinated in
Dallas.

- 5. When Kennedy was assassinated, Jimmy Hoffa complained
bitterly when Harold Gibbons, a Teamster official, flew the flag at half
staff at the union's national headquarters. Hoffa was to carry a life long
grudge about the incident.

- During Kennedy's televised funeral, Hoffa said to a Nashville
TV audience: "Bobby Kennedy is just another lawyer now." (Pg.
165) More on this later...

- 6. Sheeran states that New Orleans DA Jim Garrison who
charged Clay Shaw and others with the Kennedy assassination was actually
in the employ of Carlos Marcello and had often done the mob favors for
example prosecuting a critic of Jimmy Hoffa named Walter Sheridan on trumped
up charges.

- Sheeran further states that 'friendly' DAs are often
employed to help flush out potentially damaging witnesses for elimination.
As Kennedy assassination students know, many witnesses died in the course
of the Garrison prosecution including David Ferrie. (p. 198)

- Interestingly, in a book about Norma Wallace 'The Last
Madam: A Life in the New Orleans Underworld', Wallace, the operator of
the last major 'public' brothel in New Orleans mentioned that 'Big Jim'
was notoriously corrupt and venal.

- 7. The use of private pilots to take hit men to and from
assassination scenes to create airtight 'alibis' is described several times
during the book. This method was used in the murder of Jimmy Hoffa. Pilots
in such cases were instructed not to look at their passengers. (p. 248-258)

- * Putting it all together...
-
- As most people know by now, the Mafia and the CIA worked
together in an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Fidel Castro.
-
- Actually, US intelligence agencies and organized crime
had been collaborating closely since World War II when Naval Intelligence
made a deal with the New York Mob to both keep the docks running and to
be on the look out for enemy action. In exchange for its cooperation, organized
crime was given freedom to engage in various criminal acts including the
importation of illegal drugs.

- Sheeran reports that the Kennedys, especially Bobby Kennedy,
had earned the bitter resentment of the national syndicate for the following
reasons:

- a. Joe Kennedy Sr. was a long time associate of Italian
crime figures and had worked together with them during Prohibition
-
- b. Joe Kennedy Sr. received active cooperation from Sam
Giancana in rigging the Chicago presidential vote, giving his son John
victory in Illinois and thus the presidency.

- c. In exchange for this service, Joe Sr. had promised
that Bobby Kennedy would stop his 'mad dog' prosecution of organized crime.
Instead of stopping, Bobby who was appointed Attorney General by his brother,
turned up the heat on them substantially.
-
- Bobby Kennedy's prosecution of organized crime was unprecedented
in American history and did enormous financial damage to the Mob the scope
of which is still being felt today.

- d. Organized crime lost assets worth many billions of
dollars when Cuba fell to Castro. (Interestingly, the Bush family lost
quite a bit of money from the Castro takeover too. )

- Mafia figures were furious with Kennedy over his refusal
to support the Bay of Pigs invasion with air cover as the anti-Castro Cubans
and the CIA.

- e. Jimmy Hoffa was so incensed by the Kennedys he actually
opened discussions with a hit man to have Bobby Kennedy murdered. The plot
was exposed before it could be carried out.

- Later, it was decided by organized crime that rather
than kill Bobby and face the retaliation of Jack Kennedy, it was better
to 'go to the top' and kill John instead. Lyndon Johnson it was correctly
assumed would likely replace Kennedy as Attorney General and would not
have the same interest in pursuing organized crime.

- So what does all this mean?

- Based on Sheeran's account, it seems pretty likely that
organized crime carried out the assassination of John Kennedy with the
help of elements in local and national government.

- For example, if Jack Ruby was a close associate of Sam
Giancana and not just a 'distraught night club owner,' it's likely he
was the Chicago mob's man in Dallas which meant he probably had scores
of police officers and local officials in his pocket.

- J. Edgar Hoover was probably not sad to see John Kennedy
go and have Bobby removed as his boss. Thus the FBI's non-investigation,
their harassment of witnesses, their creation of falsified evidence etc.
to pin the crime solely on Lee Harvey Oswald.

- The fact that David Ferrie was Carlos Marcello's pilot
is of enormous significance. David Ferrie is the person who recruited young
Lee Harvey Oswald into the Civil Air Cadets program in New Orleans. He
was also a pilot in various anti-Castro missions and in the Bay of Pigs
so he had both organized crime and CIA connections.

- In Dallas, all that was needed for the crime to take
place was for the local police to be inept and corrupt (no problem there),
for one or two Secret Service men to cooperate, and for the motorcade route
to be changed at the last minute so the car passed through the easy kill
zone.

- Back in Washington all that was needed to put the finishing
touches on the plot was a few military doctors to falsify the autopsy (recall
that Naval Intelligence and the mob have long standing ties) and a Warren
Commission that was happy to report whatever it was told to report.

- In short, the Mob pulled the trigger while elements of
the US government looked the other way and then helped cover up the details
of the crime.

- Fast forward to 9-11...

- Who 'pulled the trigger' on that crime?

- According to a well documented book by Daniel Hopsicker
"Welcome to Terror Land" it appears 9-11 was not carried out
by devout Islamic fundamentalists, but by soldiers of an organized crime
syndicate, possibly Saudi-based and run by Osama bin Laden, that was -
with US government permission - importing drugs into the US.

- Read Hopsicker's book and see. The evidence is very compelling.

- What made it possible for the 9-11 crime to take place
and for the facts to be suppressed afterwards?

- Well organized ineptitude including witness intimidation
on the part of the FBI after the crime had taken place...
-
- A handful of military air controllers (it would have
only taken a few) who were in on it or were ordered to 'stand down.'
-
- A investigation commission that was bent on learning
and reporting nothing of substance.
-
- Sound familiar? It's the structure of the Kennedy assassination
all over again.

- Step One: Take criminals with the capacity for violence
and a serious grudge,

- Step Two: Let them know that all the doors they need
to be left open for the day of the kill will be left open
-
- Step Three: Pin the crime on a 'pasty' and

- Step Four: Paint over the crime scene with a B.S. investigation

well. As a long term subscriber to my 911 reports which ripped holes in
the official 911 story (the first one was published on 9-11-01 itself),
I'm sure sure Moore's film is well informed.

- It will be interesting to see if Moore found time in
the movie to report on the massive witness intimidation program the FBI
carried out to silence people who know the real story behind the men alleged
to have piloted the planes... or the fact that the FBI investigation into
911 was suspended just weeks after the 911 attacks and never resumed.
