Standing Up To Authority

Within a few days or weeks, thousands of Israelis will no longer accept the authority of the Israeli government. But how many will stand up to it?

Last week I was invited to my friend Sarah's surprise 60th anniversary party at Mike's Place, a popular Tel Aviv bar/restaurant. I arrived at 9:30 PM and the strip of restaurants where Mike's was located was packed. I circled the block twice looking for parking and nothing was free. So I settled on a place along the curb opposite the long row of restaurants. It was illegal to do so but it made no sense. There were two dozen vehicles parked along the curb and still there was enough room for a loaded Mack Truck to pass by with ease. And, 6 PM until 7 AM parking is free by city ordnance. What could hap?

At 12:30 AM I was sitting with Sarah when she noticed cars being towed from the curb. She said, "They're at it again. Here come the tow trucks."

I ran out and my car was gone.

This was extortion. The long curb was made illegal for parking knowing that streams of drivers would be forced to. It was a trap. It is a con game played by the mafia running Tel Aviv City Hall.

I walked into the parking lot where my car was being held hostage. Two strong-looking men in their mid-twenties guarded the fortress and processed the suckers in and out. I said to one, "You stole my car and I want it back." He took my details and ordered me to pay 260 shekels for its release.

"Why don't you get respectable work?, "I asked. "How can you live with yourself fleecing people by the thousands? My car wasn't blocking traffic. No one complained about it. At worst I should have received a ticket. There was no need for towing except funding a corrupt city hall through legalized car-knapping and extortion. Do you like being a hood? Are your parents proud of you?"

And on went my harangue. He gave me my receipt and a green slip with it. I asked what the other document was. He said it was a parking ticket. I ripped it into twenty pieces, threw it at him and said, "It's not anymore."

When authority is crooked, there is no choice but to stand up to it. But Israelis haven't learned the lesson yet. They either give in or leave the country by the tens of thousands every year.

June 11, '04, and I'm selling books at the Jerusalem Hebrew Book Fair. I am wearing my Who Murdered Yitzhak Rabin tee-shirt, my sales uniform. I am ascending the steps to my booth when I see President Katsav. surrounded by his entourage of bodyguards and reporters, coming down towards me. I stand in the President's path, forcing him and his entourage to stop. I point to my shirt and say to the President of Israel, "When are you going to tell us who really murdered Rabin?"

The bodyguards tense, ready to spring into action. A stunned Katsav suddenly reacts with a broad smile but does not answer me. I figured I stood up to about as big an authority as the country offered and made my way up the stairs without further incident.

Three hours later, who visits the fair but the former Attorney General, responsible for covering up the country's ruling mafiosi, Elyakim Rubinstein? He is leafing through books at a nearby booth. I grabbed a copy of the Hebrew edition of Who Murdered Yitzhak Rabin and offered Rubinstein the book as a gift. He looked at the title and said, "I don't accept gifts?"

"Why?,"I replied, "Are you too busy protecting criminals? Haven't you covered up Rabin enough?"

Once more, I stood up to authority. I was really getting the hang of it. It's easy to stand up to authority if that authority is a fraud.

Not long after, I see Shimon Sheetrit at a nearby booth. He was Rabin's Economics Minister on the night he was murdered. I offered him the book about that murder and he took it with thanks. Probably because he is currently out of authority.

To those brave souls who donated funds to me so I could give away these books, you have stood up to those bringing Israel down.

The Authorities Are Back In Action

Now that Sharon has totally caved into his foreign masters and is planning his withdrawals from Yesha, starting soon with Gaza and ending eventually in Jerusalem, the same games are being played as preceded the Rabin rubout.

It began in early July with comments from a Jerusalem rabbi that anyone who uproots a Jewish home is guilty of "din rodef" or persecution. These are the magic words which authorities assured us were in Yigal Amir's mind via his bad rabbis when he shot Rabin. And the rabbi had to have known the significance of this code when he uttered it. Now how did this utterance turn into a national scandal? How many reporters normally attend the seminars of the obscure Rabbi Nebenzahl?

But now the ball is rolling and next to pitch in is Shabak chief Avi Dichter who publicly extolls the dangers of radical religious Jews. Then fifty Hebron children are threatened with foster homes because the courts have deemed their parents too politically extreme to raise their children.

Then the deep shock comes when allies desert the advocates. First, Justice Minister Tsachi Hanebi warns the public that another political murder is on the way. In 1996, I met Hanegi, then also Justice Minister, at a wedding. My witness was a Hebrew University student, Brian Bunn. I told Hanegbi that I had documents about the Rabin murder that I wanted his office to investigate. He smiled at me, pointed both hands to his chest and answered, "And I'm going to commit suicide for you?"

Hanegbi knows all about the Rabin murder truth and his current comments show just how deeply the religious and the Right have been infiltrated.

For how long have I warned these communities that Daniel Pipes (CFR) and his board member, one Stephen Plout I believe, are pretenders to your cause? How often have I said that when the chips are down, they will reveal their true colors? And yet, look how surprised one reader is when it finally happened:

The Daniel Pipes Plan for avoiding civil war in Israel by Yehu Ben Zohar

In the July 6, 2004 internet newsmagazine, World Net Daily, in an article warning of possible civil unrest by Jews unwilling to be forcibly transferred from their homes, there is the following quote, "Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum, told WND: "Should the government go ahead with the forceable (sic) removal of Jewish residents of Gaza, intra-Israeli violence appears to be a distinct possibility. Which in turn makes me wonder why the Israeli authorities do not take quite a different track and merely stop providing security for them."

There you have it, Daniel Pipes 'simple' solution to the "problem" of Jews being hard headed and stubborn and refusing to be forcibly transferred from their homes. Pull out all the soldiers and leave those pesky "settlers" to the tender mercies of Arafat and his bunch of murderers. No mess no Fuss, let the Arabs do the dirty work and Mr. Pipes and Mr. Sharon, Colin Powell, The EU and the UN can just sit back and not get their hands dirty with the blood of those right wing "fanatics" who have this crazy, politically incorrect idea that Israel should be for Jews. Mr. Pipes no doubt feels this would ease the unemployment problem as quite a few Arabs would gladly do such work, at minimum wage too, since they would receive the worldly goods, homes and even the womenfolk, to whom I am sure they would be exceptionally gentle.

Mr. Pipes has frequently posed as a supporter of Israel, however on several occasions he has let his true colors show through, this is one of those times. He does not believe Jews have a right to live in Judea, Samaria or in any part of the "west bank."

Mr. Pipes will no doubt be encouraged by the coming persecution of all those who oppose his peace plan.

For those who have followed the years of murder, deceit, and repression, coming in the wake of the 1993 Oslo Accord, they are aware that the Gaza withdrawal is just another trick wrapped in the phoney authority of the state. They know the state has lost its legitimacy and no longer holds authority over them. But will they stand up for their own authority?

The government has turned over the task of the Gaza removal to the police, or so they say. Who believes the government any more? If so, the Gazan Jews have to learn police tactics to protect themselves from the trespassers. Police tactics will involve horses, dogs, teargas and truncheons. The Gazan Jews, therefore, have to stock up on spiked barricades against horses, gasmasks against teargas, helmets, even sports helmets, against the truncheons, and plenty of dog mace. A few karate lessons as defence against arrest would be useful as well.

No one wants to see deadly violence, not the police, not the government and certainly not the residents of Gush Katif. Last winter, over 200,000 people crowded Tel Aviv to protest the Gaza betrayal. If that many people could show up to blockade Gush Katif, the police would be forced to change tactics.

That will mean a siege. All communications lines will be shut down, so other radio media will have to be in place. Some 10,000 outsiders will have to be given a reason to stay in Gush Katif to delay the operation until the mass of blockaders arrive. Water and food will need to be hoarded by the tons. It will not be a short siege. The authorities will not stand down, so their victims will have to stand up.

end

I will be in Gush Katif on Tuesday, July 13, 8:30 PM at the Neve Dekalim Matnass. Call Anat for details. 067 775950. The subject: The Secret War Against The Settlers.

You will be receiving an attachment under separate cover because too many programs filter out attachments and this text would have been lost too often. My two hour audio CD, recorded in Denver, will be out by mid-July. Just $20 by writing me. The subjects are; The Dirty Secrets Of Oslo, and Shabtai Tzvi, Labor Zionism And The Holocaust. The first 100 will be signed and numbered. The front cover is already being printed. Open the attachment and have a look at the striking illustration by Zipporah Perlman.

And of course, just by writing chamish@netvision.net.il, you can receive my books, Who Murdered Yitzhak Rabin, Save Israel!, Israel Betrayed, and The Last Days Of Israel.
