Lynndie Court-Martial
Recommendation Sealed

9-11-4

RALEIGH, N.C. The judge in Lynndie England's military pretrial hearing has made her recommendation on whether the Army reservist should be court-martialed for abusing Iraqi prisoners.

But an Army spokesman says the recommendation won't be made public, because it's part of the official investigation.

The spokesman adds that the final decision on a court-martial will be made by the corps' commander. It's not known when that'll happen.

Military prosecutors have recommended charging England with over a dozen counts of abusing detainees.

She faces up to 38 years in prison if convicted.
