marine was killed in action in Anbar province west of Iraq Saturday, the
U.S. military said Sunday.

which brings the U.S. combat toll in Iraq to 814 fatalities since the start
of the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.

- Anbar province stretches west of Baghdad to the Syrian
border and includes the rebel-held towns of Falluja and Ramadi.
