'Democracy' Leads To The
Demise Of A Zulu Icon
By Jani Allan

It was yet another death-blow - even for the farce that it is - for democracy in South Africa.

Last week on the eve of the Inkatha Freedom Party's National Council meeting, Dr Ziba Jiyane, for decades a staunch supporter of the party leader, Dr Mangosuthu Buthelezi, suddenly accused Buthelezi of being dictator. Furthermore, claimed Jiyane, the Inkatha Freedom Party was 'illigitimate' and 'undemocratic.'

Preposterous allegations made all the more preposterous since they were uttered by the National Chairman. Preposterous too, since Dr Mangosuthu, a gentleman and scholar, in his book 'My vision for the future' spelled out his flawlessly democratic blue-print for South Africa.

What a curious world we live in. A man of this caliber is cast-aside and embraced in his place is a low-caliber Communist who is not fit to lick Buthelezi's boots..

Before the mighty Zulu nation becomes a footnote in history - for so the NWO wants it to - I humbly submit this piece. Somewhere it must be recorded that Dr Mangosuthu Buthelezi is wrongfully accused. His party is scurrilously impugned.

A decade ago I flew out from England to attend a Shaka Day celebration at KwaDukuza in Natal. I considered myself honored. In those days the world had not gone off its head en masse. Buthelezi was a magnet to the mighty, a grace note on the violence that is South Africa today.

Quite possibly history will describe him as the only politician who was a true democratic in South Africa. A true democrat and a true Christian.

Margaret Thatcher, Helmut Kohl, Ronald Reagan, the Pope, the late Sir James Goldsmith and John Aspinall..the high-minded in high places accorded him great respect.

Prince of the Zulu nation and a direct descendant of Shaka Zulu, Buthelezi's following amongst the Zulu (at some 7 million, the largest tribal grouping in South Africa) made the Rock of Gibraltar appear like a weather vane. At the aforementioned Shaka Day Celebrations that I attended, the local newspapers reported 'at least 10,000' followers had turned up. As far as the eye could see there were Zulus.

Peasants who had walked 20 miles just to see their beloved Prince. Dignitaries from all over the world. Both were accorded the same respect by Dr Buthelezi.

America appears not to know who the true hero of the piece is.

Few people know that:

* UNLIKE the sainted Mandela, Bishop Tutu and all the other Marxists, Buthelezi totally rejected violence during the apartheid years. It was because he refused to join the armed wing of the the ANC, Umkhonto we Sizwe, that the ANC turned against him and called for his assassination. (Think Umkhonto we Sizwe - think Al Qaeda - bombs, innocent people....)

* WITHOUT Buthelezi's campaigning, Mandela would not have been released from jail. Mandela has thanked Buthelezi for this on national television, but not outside the country

* MORE than 600 Zulus - IFP office bearers - have been systematically assassinated. In a document obtained from the South African News Information Service - and not repudiated by the ANC - a comprehensive section deals with 'the problem of Buthelezi and Inkatha.'"We must attack the enemy and Chief Buthelezi at every turn. We must not allow him to promote the myth that he represents the Zulus.

How many people who claim themselves to be afficionadas of the political scene in South Africa, know that the genocide that is being visited on white Afrikaners, is following the pattern set by the ANC in the eighties.

In a low-level civil war more than 15,000 Zulus have been killed. ANC leader Harry Gwala, now thankfully departed, used the tried and trusted Communist method: Systematically he would target each Zulu village. In a war of attrition the will of the Zulu's was worn down. The process of theat, murder, rape, pillage and burn gradually split the Zulu nation.

Now the great Zulu nation, the fearless nation that defeated the British Empire at Rourke's Drift, is cowed, its numbers depleted.

The West's white liberals suspend their critical faculties when faced with black Communists. By shirking from addressing the fact that the ANC is in fact a Communist government they are guilty of not demanding the same standards of accountability from blacks as from whites. This makes them guilty of the most deep-seated racism of all - the insidious kind.

South Africa's ultimate destruction will be as a result of those, both within the country and without, who willfully choose to misrepresent the truth about it for their nefarious purposes. In an orgy of romanticizing the ANC, Mandela, Mbeki et al, America and the West has probably unbeknown to them, caused the deaths of thousands of moderate blacks in South Africa.

Jiyane's claims lead one to come to only one conclusion: he too, has sold out to the Communist African National Congress.

You know, the one embraced by Dubya.

Buthelezi appealed to the few good men left in his party in a poignant address last week:

"Dr Jiyane has spoken very harshly about our party. His freedom to talk in this matter as our National Chairman one must wonder why he has never before utilized this freedom to express any words against the ANC or attack it in any manner. Actually, a few times that some of our colleagues prepared drafts for him in which language was contained which criticized the ANC, Dr Jiyane, with his own pen, would strike them out.

"I am saying these things because I wish you to be aware that there is a much bigger game at stake. The stake is frighteningly high and if we don't act in the correct manner the price will not be paid by South Africans at this time but by our children and our children's children.

In calling for Ziba Jiyane's suspension, Dr Buthelezi remarked

"I am afraid that you might not fully know me or what a real dictator looks like. I have met some real dictators, especially beyond our borders. Many of them started out with the psychological characteristics and the boundless arrogance displayed by Dr Jiyane.

As I look at these developments I am concerned about the evil which is confronting all of us. This entire matter is not about me personally. It is about the future of our democracy long after I have gone."

"I am asking you to act in the interest of South Africa and in the interest of our democracy.History is challenging each of you to act in a manner which is consistent with the gravity of the time. I can but pray God Almighty will inspire you accordingly."

This article was written by former South African talk show host and journalist, Jani Allan. Jani was adopted into the Zulu tribe in a rare tribute to a white woman. If you remember the movie Zulu, Dr. Buthelezi played himself as the Zulu prince. Known well by President Reagan and many other world leaders, he is, to this day, a true statesman...though the ANC has tried every trick to strip him of his power to lead his people.
