For H5N1
From Patricia Doyle, PhD
Jeff - Now we play the waiting game to see if the bird flu is the deadly H5N1 strain or Low Pathogenic H5N2.

Dead migratory birds found in Germany have tested positive for bird flu, media announced Tuesday.
While further tests should show whether that is the deadly H5N1 strain, the European Union banned all imports of live wild birds to the bloc.
The ban doesn't affect imports of fewer than 6 pet birds by individuals, and only if they have been in quarantine or vaccinated against bird flu.
