Is Rense.com For Real?
You Bet It Is

I used to wonder at the articles on Rense.Com. Being a Conservative, it's hard for me to accept all the criticism brought forth on these pages. But lately, I've been seeing something more than interesting and much more than I can take. I am seeing that I've been wrong about one too many issues regarding the NeoCons.

The problem? There's more right about the negativity than wrong.

The biggest bite out of my rear end was seeing a piece on Big Oil Company profits. ExxonMobile (XOM) had profits in *one quarter alone* which exceeded ten billion dollars. That's $10,000,000,000 dollars.

For the first time in history, a company will exceed one hundred billion dollars, $100,000,000,000 in oil profits. And this, whilst the average Jo and Mary are scraping the bottom of their barrel for money which just isn't there.

I live in the boondocks of northern NYS. Up here, if you don't have a car, you can't live. Simple. We need two cars in fact. Just in case one is in for service. It's that important to have transportation. If you want a pack of butts or need to shop for literally anything, you need a car. Previous to the huge gas price increase, when gasoline was less than $2.00 a gallon, my monthly gas bill was about $800.00. It is now up to more than $1,600.00. A month.

This is an upper blue collar area. Blue collar managers. Not upper management mind you. Lower management. With a large population of just plain blue collar guys. How the hell do they manage this tremendous increase in fuel? I have a large, whole house generator up here since the power company almost always prevents power from coming into my home. And we are all electric. Twice a month or more, depending on weather, the power goes out. Sometimes for an entire day or more. The genset runs on propane. I won't bore you with how much that stuff costs now.

Want to pave your driveway? Mine is a half mile up a winding hill on the way to the sky. Blacktop paving is an oil based product. That blacktop cost about $6,000.00 when laid down last year. If I were to do it today, it would cost a little over $12,000.000.

I travel by car a great deal. As a volunteer for several law enforcement agencies, servicing radio communications and such, I travel the major highways up here. Most often, I listen to CB radio. The truckers, both independents and company drivers are going out of their mind with worry about how to meet their monthly truck payments. Truckers are now charging more for carrying their delivery. And DOT checkpoints are open 24/7 in some places. And for two good reasons. One to inspect for terrorists and another because DOT recognizes that most truckers are now overweight to compensate for increased fuel prices.

It's a no-win for truck drivers. And a no-win for us. Trucks carry everything we want and need. From food to produce and you name it. Prices are up for just about everything we buy. Add our own gas price increases, heating and A/C fuel costs and we are in trouble, financially.

Meanwhile, back at Corporate HQ of the big oil companies, profits are up beyond the imagination. And what, pray tell, will big oil do with their windfall? Well, for one thing, they will *not* spend it on building more refineries. And they won't spend it on drilling more wells on our own land. But take a peek at the bonuses executives will earn. And I use that word, "earn," because I shouldn't use the word, "steal."

Yes, folks, Rense.Com is becoming more and more right every day. And just like my dad got smarter the older I got, Rense.Com articles are making more and more sense.

It would be neat for some of us not to become Liberal (God forbid) but it would be the right thing for all of us to work together to get the crooks and thieves out of office. It would be right to get back to basics, to become a Republic again, to reduce government's role in our lives, to get back to family values and the nurturing of our kids, to reduce taxes, not raise them, because we simply cannot afford to pay more, especially to a corrupt government and last but not least, to get back to God. See? The real Conservative agenda.

I used to think, not too long ago, that we were becoming more spiritual as a people. I do not think that is so. Not anymore. We are becoming materialistic and cruel to everyone but the right people. Ourselves.

May I suggest that we get up off our duffs and take part in our own governance? Thanks. I thought you'd all agree. Until that happens, and we vote out all of the thieves in office, reduce the role of government in society and take back our country, we will continue to fall as a nation. And when we land, it'll be a hard landing. Get ready. The end is nigh.
