SANTIAGO -- On the evening of October 13, photographer Sonja San Martín was on the roof of a building on San Ignacio street in the heart of downtown Santiago de Chile. Using her Nikon D70 camera, she began to take photos of the Santiagoan evening.

She did not realize at first that something strange was making its way across the sky. However, when it came time to develop the photo, she became aware of the presence of a mysterious object that at first appeared to be flying at low altitude over the buildings in the capital.

"The photo was taken at 21:24:44 hours exactly, and it if I had seen the object earlier, I would have used a greater telephoto lens," indicated Sonja San Martín.

The photo was sent to graphics expert Leonardo Guazzo from Andesenios.net. His preliminary conclusions were that the object was neither a conventional artifact nor a reflection.

"It appears to be a solid object with an irregular shape and 4 very clear lights. I cannot state that it is a vessel from another world, but I can say that isn't anything conventional," said Guazzo.

It should be mentioned that more exhaustive analyses are being performed on the image, which could provide greater clarity and certainty as to the enigmatic object.
