(13) Maggots were found crawling on the face of a female patient at England's Gloucestershire Royal Hospital...a female fly had entered and apparently deposited her eggs in the woman's ear! (That is why I always recommend that you pack a fly swatter along with your toothbrush when going to the hospital)

(12) Astounding! A double-mouthed trout with 2 fully-developed separate mouths, one above the other, was reeled in by a fisherman in Lincoln, Nebraska, who plans to cook and eat it! (Personally, I think it should be preserved and displayed at a Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum,or placed on EBAY for some appreciative admirer to purchase)

(11) Incredible! A pack of black squirrels in Lazo, eastern Russia, ravenously hungry due to a shortage of their favorite food, pine cones, attacked and killed a stray dog, running off with bits of its flesh in their mouths!

(10) Horrible way to die! Tractor driver in the Czech Republic was dumping 8 tons of manure when he somehow became buried under the load, suffocating to death!

(9) After a boy,11, was mauled by a vicious Alsatian in the Czech Republic, the dog was euthanized, and his innards cut open where the nose, amazingly, was found intact and successfully reattached in an 11-hour marathon surgery...the lad is now able to breathe and smell normally with it!

(8) After a bitter argument with his wife outside of their home in Riverside, CA, a man, 84, pulled out a gun and shot himself in the head, but the bullet passed right through his skull and struck the wife (who was standing some 8 feet away) in the forehead, killing her also!

(7) Lucky the goldfish (of Kellyville, Victoria, Australia) just underwent cosmetic surgery to remove 6 unsightly benign tumors from his scales, a common problem for older goldies who begin developing these growths around age 10, yet live to age 20...surprisingly, this 35-minute operation, which costs roughly  $125, is growing in popularity!

(6) Doofus of the week! Arachnophobic gal in Zuelpich, Germany 1st sprayed her garage with hairspray to drive out spiders, then tried a lighter, which triggered a fire burning down not only the garage, but her entire home (however, on a positive note, the spiders have departed)!

(5) Bad news! The annual Williamsport, Maryland barn dance was cancelled due to an over-accumulation of bat guano (in past years, a crew of 7 spent 6 hours cleaning it up, but there was simply too much this year)! Darn! Darn! Darn!

(4) Incredible! Humongous mushrooms are sprouting up through the carpeting of the now-abandoned, once-elegant Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles!

(3) Ouch! Cows in oversized trucks are being decapitated at the rate of one per month as the vehicles pass through tunnels in Melbourne, Australia...as the cows rear up, such as trying to escape, low-hanging warning signs behead them! Ouch!

(2) Surgeon at Tokyo's Shiga General Hospital punched a patient in the forehead when he changed his mind about the surgery while lying on the operating table, causing him to start bleeding...the operation was cancelled, but, unbelievably, the man opted for it 3 weeks later, with a different doctor!

(1) Embarrassing! A collegian in Odessa, Ukraine, accidentally dropped his cellphone down the toilet, reached in to retrieve it, but got his arm stuck in the cloaca for 2 hours before finally being rescued...at last report, the cellphone had not been recovered! (That is precisely why I do not own a cellphone!)
