- Danitza Tomianovic has been working with the CDC NCID
Division of Global Migration and Quarantine, Quarantine and Border Health
Services Branch at the Miami Quarantine Station as a Quarantine Public
Health Officer for approximately three years. In 1998 she held an internship
position at the World Health Organization Mental Health Program in Geneva,
Switzerland developing a community-based mental health care program for
displaced persons of Rwanda and Ex-Yugoslavia. She also has epidemiological
research experience in rural health care issues in Costa Rica. More recently
Ms. Tomianovic has had experience in Hurricane Katrina disaster relief
efforts relating to infection control and outbreak containment.
