Clothing For Little Girls With
Sexually-Connotative Lettering
1-31-01

Hi,

I'm writing because I'm very concerned about a T-shirt in the girls department at Target. It starts at size 4/5, the size my three year old wears, and it says "Hottie" in flaming letters. I've always felt their girls clothes were a little "Hookerish," but sexual logos on preschool size clothing is way beyond acceptable

This is a copy of a letter I sent Target customer service online:

You currently carry a little girls' 'Xhiliration' t-shirt, sizes 4/5 to 12/14. The size four will fit my three year old daughter, but I would never let her wear it. It says "Hottie" on the front in flaming letters.

Is there a non-sexual connotation to the word "Hottie" that I'm not aware of? Do YOU think it is appropriate attire for a three year old? Are your little girl clothes designed by PEDOPHILES?

Picture a group of children on the playground, being watched by a pedophile. He sees a pre-schooler in a tshirt that says "hottie" and thinks, "there's the woman for me." Is that socially responsible? What kind of message are you trying to send young girls? That from preschool on, worth is measured by how sexual you are? What are you coming out with next, pink newborn rompers that say "Slut?" You also have junior girls' shirts that say "Boy Crazy." _____

I plan to go onto some of the family oriented websites to see what other people say, or if there are any organized efforts yet to protect our children from your misogynistic pedophilic clothes designers and damaging social messages

If you could give this article of clothing any publicity that would help get it removed and make them think twice about doing it again, I would be very grateful. Target customer service replied to my letter by saying that they tried to give all customers a choice. Some choices are degrading, pedophilic, and misogynistic.

This article will get the eyes roaming more than the clothes themselves. What a joke!! Are we heading back to the witch hunt days of Salem? Why not an article about the gas prices and factories closing? The economy is going south and people in my area can't pay the high gas and energ bills. Welcome to the brave new world of insanity.

One need only stroll through any store with items for kids and see the subtle suggestiong that 8-12 year old girls are should play "dress up ala hooker." Even in the toy section one will see a wide variety of body and fashion "play" boxes for little girls and the cover images are only lacking a pimp and a street light. It's very sad.

I was not at all surprised but was very saddened by this story. Recently, a good friend and I took her 16 year old daughter to the local mall to shop. We were waiting for her daughter while she tried on clothes in a store that caters exclusively to teen girls (a nationwide chain).

She came out of the dressing room and was wearing what we both thought was an adorable top, until she turned around. My friend said, "Oh God." It took me a few seconds longer than it did her, to see that across the front of her chest were numbers like you would see on a sports jersey. What numbers? 69. I was shocked! I inconspicuously slipped away, leaving my poor friend to explain to her daughter why the shirt was not appropriate. As I looked around, there were many different styles of shirts, all with those same numbers in the front. What in the world is the company that manufactures and sells these shirts trying to promote???

Hi...

I've just seen the comment about girls' clothes and the things they print on them. I'm a 15 year old male and I think the clothes that girls wear today are disgusting. I see girls in the 9th and 10th grade wearing shirts that say "Playboy", and also with the number 69. I think the clothes that girls wear today are horrible and should not be allowed to be worn in school.

Jon Benet Ramsey haunts America four years after her untimely and suspicious death. Her parents, the prime suspects, continue a campaign of purported "innocence" and the Boulder, Colorado police and the District Attorneys' office confess their own complicity in protecting the parents from the circumstantial evidence that points guilt in their direction.

But Jon Benet Ramsey is a lone child whose death brought to the forefront of the American Psyche, that our children are often most endangered by the people who raise them.

At the present time there is a body of lobbyists' in Washington, DC, whose agenda is to lower the age of teens for consensual sex to 16.

This is not a new lobby. In fact, they claim to have a very wealthy constituency of over a million members. Most of them are really just pedophiles who have a motto of "sex before eight, before it is too late." Many of them are also members of a very suspect group of nomadic Americans who call themselves the "Travelers". This group has been gaining in notoriety in this country, because they have fallen under the heading of "newsworthy" by the mainstream media. But many of the characteristics and known behaviors of these people (male and female) remain hidden, vague and relatively unknown by the public at large.

In l985, a project started at Atascadero State Hospital under the direction of Craig Nelson, PhD. It was a voluntary program made available to inmates who were convicted of pedophilia and lasted five years.

The results of this program were so dismal and unproductive, that the results were not made available to the general public.

1.) There are three types of pedophile:

a. situational stress- usually involves fondling of a single child and seeks help on his own. Highly treatable. Usually does not end up in prison, because of his shame and disgust at his behavior, he stops all further inappropriate behavior and goes to therapy regularly.

b. incestuous, usually between male with paternal duties and oldest female child. Can be treated, if he believes that what he did was wrong.

c. predator-widespread history. moves to cover up his nefarious crimes, sometimes driven to kill victims. No hope here, lifelong habituation. Sexual orientation is children and very seldom can sexual orientation be changed.

It has been known since the '50's that child molestation is a primarily white male crime. That most childmolesters are docile and when told no, they go away and look for another victim.

In fact, child molestation is so prevalent in this country, that it is estimated that 9 out of ten females are molested before the age of 14 and that six of ten boys before the age of 14. In any event, it is so widespread in this country, that we are teaching the children to say no, rather than arrest the perverts.

There are even recent articles that have been in the mainstream media in the last six months that children who are molested do not suffer trauma or heartache later in life. That is crap and any therapist will discount this "news" vehemently.

Child molestation is wrong and will always be wrong. Our children are our Holy People and they deserve to be treated as such. When children are molested they are given carnal knowledge and that disrupts their innocence and purity. They are then tainted with the prurient interest of the perpetrator and slowly lose self esteem and happiness.

There are many companies who do cater to molesters by the inappropriate clothing that they make and sell. Not the least of which are the clothes for the children who are involved in the "Beauty Pageants".

I applaud the woman who wrote you about the clothing being sold at Target. I further applaud that this woman wants to bring this out in the open. That is how to tell a store that you will not purchase their products. I would encourage you to get the local TV stations involved by buying ten or twelve of these shirts and putting them in a pile and burning them for the local stations to film.

It is too bad that there are so many parents out there that do not pay attention to what they are putting on their children. And there are many women who dress their daughters inappropriately in an effort to make themselves feel desired by men. She is sexy, and so am I.

The Renet Guillone Society is alive and well and lobbying our senate and congress to lower the consensual age of sex. They would like to lower it to eight but they will be happy with sixteen for starters.

So when you are not comfortable with how your children are being sold products that are inappropriate for their ages, open your mouth and scream like a panther, because by our silence we allow.
