Jeff,

I was using your site search engine in an attempt to locate the .mpeg that Greg Avery provided on Jeff's 5/5/2000 show (http://www.sightings.com/1.imagesa/pucks.htm). This .mpeg showed some dark specks flying around like insects by a distant cloud.

I have a digital image from 5/5/2000 that seems to show 17 of these same dark specks. The dark specks were not noted at the time of exposure. Further efforts to capture this kind of activity have had mixed results. I have noted similar dark specks clustering within a cloud during weather that was more windy & stormy than the 5/5/2000 image.

The image below shows the most detailed image of a ROD that I have ever encountered. Please note the darkened pixels of this image. I am inclined to think that the dark specks in Greg Avery's .mpeg, the 17 anomalous specks in my digital image, my subsequent observations, & the dark specks in the image below are all the same variety of creature.

Actual size with a magnifying glass is my standard for viewing. I would appreciate your feedback on this image & all other material sent. I want to assure you & Jeff that these images are absolutely genuine. All images/animations that I have sent are raw, unaltered originals. You & Jeff have the first public release of this material. I have a 1 hour digital video recording from 9/12/2000 that is loaded with this kind of stuff.

From the beginning I have tried to write off these anomalies as camera / lens artifacts but the more I study this tape the more difficult this becomes. All comments, questions or criticism welcome.

Sincerely,
Michael B.

Excellent images, Michael! Clearly a classic Rod making a high speed maneuver. I wonder if anyone has tested any Infra-Red videography with regards to Rods? It is mysterious that these incredible 'creatures' only seem to become visible when strong light sources illuminate what appears to be a translucent form -- and even then, only reconized on video when slowed down frame by frame.

We thank Michael for his superb contribution and are still receiving excellent images from him... stay tuned!
