Waiting For The Midnight Hour
By Ted Lang
4-14-6

When the Bush administration finally attacks Iran as they have been ordered to do by Israel and its lobby, AIPAC, we in the alternate media [AM] would be extremely wise to immediately cease and desist in offering our electronic rants on the Internet.  Laws have already been put in place authorizing secret arrests and kidnappings, "renditions" to other nations where torture is commonplace, or transfer to the American torture and concentration camp facilities at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo.  Unauthorized break-ins of our private residences, and spying on Americans in their homes, places of work, and now even on telephones and the Internet, are supported and justified by laws needed to protect American government from all terrorist threats, both domestic and foreign.

Arresting, detaining and incarcerating both Americans and foreigners indefinitely without charges are therefore justified and totally legal.  And if the torture of those held captive while "in the system" fails to succeed in securing for the government the required signed confessions or sought-after information, then the government is now authorized to arrest the children and relatives of such terrorists and to use torture on them in order to secure the needed testimony from the detainees.  The government knows terrorists can always be counted on regarding their primary weakness, which is their overly protective love and compassion for their own children.  This weakness, inherent in all terrorists, is what provides American interrogators a vital advantage, since detained terrorists usually will not allow their own children to suffer and die for the crimes that they, the terrorists themselves, have perpetrated.

And rather than succumb to the ridiculous notion that Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo be shut down and closed, the Bush administration has not only wisely ignored such demands, obviously originated by un-American left-wingers and liberals in the Democratic Party, but has once again moved swiftly and decisively in awarding a non-competitively bid $364 million contract to its favorite and most qualified sole source corporate beneficiary, Halliburton.  Halliburton is now under contract to construct even more concentration camps and torture centers, initiated cleverly under the code name of "DHS detention centers."  That the sole source award is just another blatant violation of the FAR [Federal Acquisition Regulations] is nothing other than the height of absurdity, and yet another unfair and despicable assertion by America-hating Democrats.  America is in a dangerous war, and President Bush must be allowed maximum authority to protect the government and to move swiftly.

Now, if all these formerly unlawful, illegal and unjust activities demonstrate policies similar in nature to those of Israel, that's because they are!  Israeli torture experts were on hand at Abu Ghraib, according to its quickly displaced former commanding general, Brigadier General Janis Karpinski, who only learned of this via a chance conversation with one of Israel's Mossad who was at the notorious former Iraqi torture center at the height of the American maim, torture and kill campaign there.

To silence the only entity in American society that is dangerously interfering with the immediate need to carpet bomb Iran for terrorist evildoing, legislation is immediately required to create licensing, taxing, and regulatory authority to provide for government oversight.  The only drawback to this proposal coming from the GOP is that it was first proposed by New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.  This will understandably tarnish the GOP's intended legislative initiatives in this area.  But already, courageous elements in the GOP are moving forward against those who are clearly against and not with the administration.

Led by no less than one of the GOP's greater knights in shining armor, former Senate Majority Leader, Republican Senator Trent [Sir Thanks A] Lott, citizen activist groups will now be required to go through the highly complex and rigorous requirements typical of authorizing professional lobbying groups.  Brilliant, no?!  Ordinary citizens, who form a group and wish not to petition their government for grievances in the streets and by means of organized demonstrations, thereby avoiding confinement to razor-wired "free speech" zones and guarded by machine-gun toting police, who merely wish to communicate their concerns to their elected representatives in Congress, will now be precluded from doing so.  Brilliant!

Sir Thanks A Lott's bill will of course counter the efforts of Democratic Congressman John Conyers who is doing precisely just that by appealing to citizen activist groups to help him draft those evil articles of impeachment against our dictators-in-chief.  And since there is a majority of liberty-squashing elephants now packed in both our houses of elected representatives, this vital legislation is a must to further protect American government from the wrong people and evildoers.

But citizens may be able to organize on the Internet as well.  This cannot stand!  To protect our great and glorious government from yet more attacks and treachery on the part of its citizens, American government will now abolish the Internet as well.  Here is a thumbnail of the provisions and the controversy: "The lopsided vote was a defeat for Internet and technology firms like Google and Microsoft, which had hoped to amend the bill to enforce a principle called network neutrality and preserve the status quo under which all Internet traffic is treated equally.  Earlier in the day, the subcommittee voted 23-8 to reject an amendment by Rep. Ed Markey, D-Mass., that would have inserted specific language designed to enforce network neutrality and prevent the feared creation of fast and slow lanes on the Internet.  Markey said his amendment was necessary to protect the 'Internet as an engine of innovation' and ensure that new services had an equal chance to sprout.

Instead, the committee adopted compromise provisions, accepted by the bill's chief sponsor, Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, authorizing the Federal Communications Commission to investigate violations of network neutrality and levy fines of up to $500,000 on a case-by-case basis.  Supporters painted defeat of Markey's net neutrality amendment in bleak terms.  'Members from both sides of the aisle endorsed a plan which will permit cable and phone companies to construct 'pay as you surf, pay as you post' toll booths for the Internet,' said Jeff Chester, executive director of the Center for Digital Democracy in Washington.'"

So there you have it web surfers and those of US who wish to be informed by America's true media, the AM on the Internet.  This only remaining remnant of a free and independent press will now be suffocated by more mountains of legislative elephant dung from the GOP.  And please remember, I've been a dues-paying Republican for almost 40 years and voted for G. Bush, president, in 2000.

Concurrent with the two most recent and serious setbacks and attacks by citizens and scholars on the Internet on President Bush and AIPAC's planned military actions directed at Iran to contain terrorism in the Middle East, one being the charges by Hollywood "lefty" and un-American liberal, Charlie Sheen, who disgracefully asserted an administration "cover-up" of the 9-11 terrorist acts, and the other being the Harvard University JFK School of Government's anti-Semitic and malicious anti-Jewish report charging Israel and its lobby with formulating American foreign policy, the AM as well as left-wing wacko Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker have leaked Bush and AIPAC's plan to carpet bomb Iran with nuclear weapons and block busters.

Internet evildoers and despicable Americans have seriously impaired this administration's ability and options in the War on Terror [WOT].  Unquestionably, the AM has discouraged the Bush administration from moving swiftly and decisively to level Iran.  To discourage the negative effect of news and opinion, the administration must now undertake a policy of distraction, counterpoint and contradiction regarding the WOT's happenings to totally confuse the American people before launching the surprise attack. Sir Ronald Dumbsfeld insists that the accurate reports of an American-Israeli plot to attack Iran with nuclear weapons are "fantasy land."  And White House dweller, Scott "Mighty Mouth" McClellan, offered the truth as merely "wild speculation."

It appears that the counterpoint approach is being offered by news partners Matt Drudge and Condoleezza "Tinhorn Lizzie" Rice in offering in the April 12th
version of their joint edition of the "Drudge Report" that a "Time for Action" [against Iran] is now necessary.  Clearly, recognizing the overwhelming power of the American-Israeli MSM, and an AM giant such as Drudge & Rice, the previously mentioned legislation will be truly conducive to uniform news and opinion.

The independent fringe of current purveyors of news and opinion on the AM must be controlled.  Contradictions in administration statements to the public as manipulated by the independent AM create the conditions that cause Dumbsfeld and Mighty Mouth to say one thing, and Tinhorn Lizzie to say just the opposite.  America can no longer tolerate this!  Iran is "on the table," then it's "off the table," then the table is in "fantasy land," then the table is missing, and then the table is pulverized by Cheney's shotgun.  WOT's goin' on?

In all seriousness, those of us on the shrinking island of journalistic and citizen independence are beginning to see the specter of an increasingly dangerous and out-of-control government of organized criminals and profiteers.  They are looking for political advantage in silencing dissent in any and all ways they can, whether by forcing citizens to form lobbies to contact their so-called "representatives," or whether individuals such as I merely wish to speak out to right wrongs and injustices.  The harlots in American government care not that they are participating in the destruction of the greatest bastion of political freedom in Mankind's entire history.  Political expediency for the moment trumps ensuring the blessings of liberty for US and our posterity.

We, in the truly independent, and for the moment, free AM, now are starting to view the intended laws to silence us, and the unjust and egregiously freedom-stifling laws that have already been put in place, as a ticking time bomb.  The moment of enforced silence and total suppression is coming.  And after that, we will be anticipating the knock on the door at midnight.

Police departments all over Amerika are now directly connected to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue through grant dependencies, government initiatives for local police forces, federally mandated police policies, Department of Homeland Security "team" initiatives, and the supremacy and eminent superiority of American federal government's overriding power in law enforcement through its standing army of alphabet "law" enforcement agencies.  We are all waiting for that midnight hour we realize will eventually be upon us.  The determining factor for this writer will be the attack on Iran.  When that happens, as far as I am concerned, that midnight hour will surely follow quickly.  All will be lost, World War III will be launched, and I and my fellow writers will have failed.  It will then become very wise to remain silent.

Midnight Is Long Gone!
A response to 'Waiting for the Midnight Hour'

Kirwan

The "midnight hour" has been in line for decades it is not something that just appeared in the last five years. 'Round-ups,' arrests and torture, have always been a part of the plan. Who are these people that would call for a nationwide shutdown of all descent? The invested ones-Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld, Rice, Pearle, Rove and dozens more who seek to profit and are to blame: Given their particular interests that will be served by this possibility, how can any sane person continue to believe anything that any of these people continue to say?

What happened to Bush-the-Commander-and-Chief who so proudly "owned" The US War on Iraq? That was back when "Mission Accomplished" was the order of the day: the threat that the author saw in his article, is only the latest version of official proclamations that have had no basis in reality. These murdering thieves want people to fear for their jobs and their lives-but the truth is visible-in that time they have been in office, where they have been failures one and all. They bully, they deceive, and they lie with every breath they take while hiding behind that shield of government secrecy-"in a time of war." The only way these people win, is IF people come to fear them!

George W. Bush is an imposter. He is no more "the president" than you or I-he's a shill, just another fraud, in that dark-carnival that calls itself the US government.

In a perfect world: All these people would be treated as they have treated so many of the thousands they have imprisoned. They should be seized, cut off from lawyers and family, and held in 'a secure location' until they can prove their innocence. But since the sitting Attorney General is the one who wrote these provisions (along with the rules that permit torture) this is not going to happen. "Justice" will still find them, it just won't come about through the US Department of Just-US!

"Arrest, detention and isolated incarceration" is currently the defacto "law" of these imposters. Due to that stacked deck of an on-the-record bias in the Supreme Court and a compliant congress the reality is that it is this government who has shattered the laws and the constitution; not those the government says "need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law." Legislation is one thing, but the Law of the Streets are quite another. Here's what's been done to date in the War-on-America: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8260059923762628848&pl=true

Thanks to the net; many now realize that what should have happened in Nazi Germany or during the purges of Stalinist Russia could be corrected in this Bush-War on America. In the Gulags of Russia the most extreme torture that apparently existed in those camps was not the privation or the hard labor, it was the thought that had they fought back-instead of hiding in plain sight-they might have avoided all that followed. Some prisoners were haunted by the idea that had he and his friends not simply waited to be arrested that entire moment of history could have been thwarted? Had for instance the Gestapo (or the KGB) themselves been targeted by those they were coming to arrest, then the hunters would have become the prey and the world today would likely be a very different place.

Prisoners in the camps - kept dreaming of seeing the Gestapo coming back from kicking in doors, only to find their driver dead and their vehicle on fire. After this, the SS would have lost the security of their own lives in the panic that would have seized them after the reports came in because the enforcers would have realized that they were now targets of a vastly more populous "public" that would win-all because the FEAR that had bound those populations would had been shattered. Throughout history these kinds of events have replayed themselves over and over again. This time with an America armed to the teeth perhaps the outcome might not be the same as it has been too many times before?

The manpower to do the job being advocated by Cheney-Bush does not exist; but more importantly the will to carry out this dark forbidding plan, is just not there. They'd love to do itbut between the monumental failures that has prevented them from "getting-there" for five long yearsand the kinds of resistance that they continue to get from those who are tracking what they do: their plans have for the most part been delayed. http://www.smirkingchimp.com/article.php?sid=25684&mode=nested&order=0

The Halliburton no-bid contract "to build the detention camps" was a simple gift to Cheney. The camps are already in existence, and have been for decades-they  are ready to receive detainees, just as soon as 'conditions are right' for this government to act. http://www.kirwanesque.com/politics/articles/2003/art13.htm

The 'Tarnished House' in Washington D.C. is not the only center for this Smash & Grab from the Coalition-of-the-Covetors. NO! This population is what must be protected from this government that has begun to eat its' children. New governments can be created after the so-called owners of USA Incorporated have been forced to make some wholesale changes to everything in Washington.

Before the War on Iraq began I asked this question ~ but now we know the US players all too well!

The answer is still unfolding, yet the world and the USA are now expected to embark upon a new, more dangerous, and more wide-ranging war; without completing either of the two wars that are currently being lost.

From Mark Helprin a novelist and journalist, who served in the Israeli army and air force now a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute.

"Even were one to believe that, despite its low and stagnant per capita gross national product and having the second largest reserves of petroleum and natural gas, Iran would invest un-economically in nuclear power generation, one would also have to disbelieve that it wanted nuclear weapons. But with an intermediate range nuclear capacity, it could deter American intervention, reign over the Persian Gulf, further separate Europe from American Middle-east policy, correct a nuclear imbalance with Pakistan, lead and perhaps unify the Islamic world and thus create the chance to end Western dominance of the Middle East and/or with a single shot destroy Israel."

None of this pending threat is "NEW" this all goes back to that time before pre-history. What would be "NEW" would be if the targeted population was to rise against the vile preparations that have been made-in this case-for us! As of  today China and Russia are welcoming Iran into the fold, after we have already begun the war against Iran this can have no outcome that is not a disaster! http://www.atimes.com/atimes/China/HD18Ad02.html

Is the above simply too wild, too fanciful to consider? Look at the numbers, there simply are not enough "agents" either military or civilian to complete a takeover of the USA, unless the population cooperates fully in our own incarceration. "The Midnight Hour" has already come and gone, in this case because the Bush-War on Iran has already started. How the new nightmare will unfold, once the obscenity of this crime begins to spread itself across the world, will determine what will happen here-inside what has always been ground zero for the Bush-War on America. The public has a choice now to become part of the problem or part of the solution simply "Waiting" for the Midnight Hour" is not thinkable!
