For Aspartame

The FDA who not only revoked the petition for approval of aspartame but tried to have the original manufacturer, Searle, indicted. Today along with the professional organizations funded by the manufacturers and the front groups like Calorie Control Council, tell the world aspartame is safe. They will tell you about 200 studies showing safety. In reality you can't take an excitoneurotoxic carcinogenic drug like aspartame and make it show safety. Searle tried but got caught, the reason the FDA asked for indictment. Both US Prosecutors, Sam Skinner and William Conlon hired on with the defense team and the statute of limitations expired. FDA toxicologist, Dr. Jacqueline Verrett, in a l987 Senate hearing testified that flawed tests conducted by Searle were a disaster and should have been thrown out. Even Dr. Ralph Walton showed that only studies funded or controlled by the manufacturers ever claimed safety: http://www.dorway.com/peerrev.html 92% of all "independent" scientific peer reviewed studies. The late FDA toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross, also told congress (l985, Senate) that aspartame violated the Delaney Amendment because it caused brain tumors and brain cancer. The National Soft Drink Assoc, (now American Beverage) admitted aspartame is adulterated so its illegal, and that means it violates interstate commerce statutes.

Below is the actual FDA Board of Inquiry Report revoking the petition for approval by the best scientists they had to offer. So if FDA tries to tell you today its safe, ask them what changed their mind? How much money have they received from the manufacturer? Here is the FDA audit, the Bressler Report, of just some of Searle's shenanigans. Jerome Bressler told me, as well as Doctors H. J. Roberts and Russell Blaylock that the studies were so bad when the FDA retyped it, they removed the worst 20%. And the FDA has refused to allow Dr. Roberts Congressman to have the data saying its confidential: http://www.dorway.com/bressler.txt

So how did aspartame get on the market? Meet Don Rumsfeld. From the Aspartame Documentary, Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World, http://www.soundandfury.tv/pages/rumsfeld2.html You can get the whole documentary from www.amazon.com or Barnes & Noble.
