- First hand experiences

- When I was 5 (1966) I was lying in bed
at Moore St (Apollo Bay, VIC, Australia). It was dark and the bedroom door
was open and I was in the bed directly behind the door (the foot of the
bed was flush with the open door). All of a sudden a ping pong ball, glowing
softly luminescent pale green, floated in through the door about four feet
off the floor. It then made an exact right angle turn and came down toward
the bed. I was frightened and rolled over, pulled the covers over my head,
turned my face to the wall and hoped it would go away. I cannot remember
anything after that. I must have fallen immediately asleep.

- When I was 14 (Melbourne, VIC, Australia)
I was lying in bed at Rosanna in the boys bedroom in the bed against the
wall when I heard footsteps in the hall outside heading down toward the
kitchen. It sounded as if someone had gotten out of bed and had draped
a blanket around themselves, as there was the sound of a slight swishing
and dragging as well as the footsteps. Presently the kitchen door opened
and closed with a repeated noise (as the double hinged swinging doors at
Rosanna do) and I thought someone had gone to get a drink of water from
the kitchen. I waited a long time for them to come back. I fell asleep
waiting. In the morning I asked all who were there that night if anyone
had gotten out of bed and gone down to the kitchen. No-one had.

I was alone as mother, grandmother and sister had gone out shopping that
night to Doncaster Shoppingtown. It was about 10.30pm and I was lying in
the middle of the lounge floor listening to a tape of Dark Side of the
Moon on Mary's tape player - the one presently at Apollo Bay - when there
was a sound from the outside door leading to the billiard room as if it
had been opened then closed. Next thing, after a short delay, the billiard
room door started swinging open and closed (kachunka- chunk -a- chunk ka-chunka)
and I looked up expectantly for the kitchen door to do likewise, as I thought
all had arrived home from the shopping trip. Nothing. The billiard room
door ceased its motion. No sound anywhere. I listened intently. Nothing.
No sound. No movement. I became a little frightened to say the least but
simply turned up the volume and closed my eyes. Everyone arrived home about
half an hour later.

- Afterwards, my mother told us that strange
things had been occurring for a number of years but had not wanted to tell
us children for fear of frightening us.

- After the house was sold, the new owners
reported nothing at all untoward occurring.
-
- When I was 15 I was walking between the
house and the hut (Busty Rd Apollo Bay, VIC, Australia. A Dark night. No
moon. I had just topped the final rise before heading down to (name
removed) when I heard this really loud hissing/whooshing noise - heading
my way very, very fast from an easterly direction. Something was flying
through the air toward me! Extremely quickly! I immediately dropped to
the ground and as I did so I realized that by the time I had reacted it
had already passed overhead. It sounded as if it had literally missed me
by only a few feet - but I had seen nothing. I quickly looked up in the
direction it had gone and was presented with a very bright flash of light
that lit up behind the whole cloud bank to the south west. Having in mind
the 4 second per mile (?) of lightning to thunder I counted the seconds
and waited for the bang that certainly must accompany such a HUGE flash
of light - the cloud bank was perhaps two miles out - at least behind the
furthest ridge. Nothing. No sound at all. It was weird and I was frightened.
Yet somehow, even knowing I would be alone in the hut in the dark when
I got there and that I considered turning round and heading home - I proceed
onward anyway.

- 1993. Sitting inside the flat at Kellet
St (Northcote, Melbourne, VIC, Australia). watching TV. It was a
warm evening and Karen was outside talking to Rose the next door neighbour.
Next thing I hear is "Bill! Bill" Come out here. Quickly!"
I reluctantly - begrudgingly - rose and went out. They were pointing and
staring at a large white light sitting very still in the air toward the
North. It looked about 100 metres off the ground and about 300 Metres distant.
It was just hanging there doing nothing in particular. There was no sound
from it at all and it was not moving at all. It was rather large, about
the size of the full moon when seen high in the sky - but this was no moon!
No details could be seen in or around the light and it was about as bright
as a car headlight on full beam although larger and without the blinding
glare. We commented quietly but excitedly on its size, its seeming closeness
to us, on the lack of sound, ruling out a helicopter, and the lack of movement,
ruling out a plane. Suddenly the light winked out, reappeared some short
distance horizontally to the right, although seemingly somewhat smaller
in dimension and with what seemed a slight colour change, then it winked
out to reappear at the same distance horizontally to the left of its original
position as it did to the right, then winked out and reappeared exactly
where it was before. This all happened literally within the blink of an
eye. It was so quick that I was unsure if I had seen correctly. Not wanting
to prejudice an answer I quietly asked whether anyone else had seen something
occur and if so what had occurred. Both girls stated what happened to the
light - and their statements accorded exactly with what I observed. We
marveled at this for a bit, then the light suddenly began to retreat directly
away from us, gathering speed rapidly as it went, until in a very short
time indeed it had disappeared directly and completely in the distance.

- Greenhills Road Bundoora (1996). (Melbourne,
VIC, Australia). Sitting on the outside steps looking East. I was
often there at all times of day or night to have my ciggies. Observed many
planes heading for Tullamarine (the main airport approach route being about
2km to the north - flying east to west). Also observed a few interesting
lights that I could not readily identify as planes. But nothing specific.
Nothing startling. Then one morning about dawn I observed toward the eastern
horizon a very large (huge), perfectly white, thin, almost pointed ellipse
heading toward the east, finally to disappear below the horizon. It was,
I suspected at first, a cloud of some sort, yet it did not have the pinkish
orange dawn glow of all the other clouds in the sky at that time - and
it did not change shape in the least as it moved. It also seemed to moving
quickly while the other (normal) clouds were not moving at all. I have
subsequently come across the term "lenticular cloud formation",
but I remain unconvinced that this term describes exactly what I observed
that morning.

- 1996 Driving along with Karen, heading
North on the Street East of High Street Near Bell Street (Melbourne, VIC,
Australia). when directly in front of me in a space between the buildings
where the sky was visible, but low to the ground, a grey cigar shaped object
flitted, moving extremely fast east to west. My immediate thought was a
military jet of some sort, which for some reason had been painted completely
dull grey with no insignias - then I remembered in my mind's eye that I
had seen no wings or tailfin. However it happened so quickly I suppose
it could have been. Karen did not see it.

- 2004. Lalor (Melbourne, VIC, Australia).
2am. Standing in the back door having a ciggie looking south. A star-bright
object, but shining very steadily, arced very high up across the sky -
South to North - extremely rapidly. It took about 4 seconds to cover 45
degrees of arc. It went behind the corner of the roof of the house but
when I stepped out to remove this obstruction from my view, so I could
continue watching, the light was no longer there.

- Strange dream
-
- Lying asleep on the sofa (Lalor, Melbourne,VIC,
Australia) in the lounge room when a loud bang from the kitchen awoke me.
Strange, I thought, there is no-one here but me. Or maybe Chewy (our dog)
has knocked something over. I better get up to investigate - something
fallen down? I got up from the sofa and walked into the kitchen. I looked
around but saw nothing unusual or out of place. But then I thought there was
something unusual. Something did not feel quite right. There was a strange
aura about things. Wait . this is not right . oh . what is this? Uh oh,
it suddenly occurred to me, I might be still asleep! So I turned to walk
back to the lounge and immediately found myself back on the sofa lying
down. Once there I immediately sat up and thought - Wow, that was a very
strange dream indeed, it all seemed so incredibly real! Unbelievable, I
have never experienced anything like that before! What a trip! Oh well
. but now I am thirsty. I will go to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
Still slightly bemused I got off the sofa and walked to the kitchen to
get a drink of water. In the kitchen I looked around and thought . Hang
on, something is still not right . What on earth? . It can't be . surely
not . but yes, I am still asleep! So, back to the sofa I went! Literally
walked back to the sofa and half way there suddenly found myself lying
down on the sofa again. So I sat up confused (again??). OK.Am I asleep
now? How can I tell? I have just had two experiences where I have ostensibly
woken up, got off the sofa, and walked to the kitchen. Both times seemed
so real, yet both times I must have been dreaming it! What about now? Pinch
yourself . does it hurt? Yes . I am awake. will I go to the kitchen? No!
I must do something else, the kitchen is obviously a dream world! I grabbed
the remote and turned on the TV. I think I am awake.

- Second Hand Reports

- A close friend. Bob, Sitting in his back
yard in Northcote (Melbourne, VIC, Australia) lazily watching the westerly
sun going down when an object rose vertically into the air in front of
him. He took it to be a helicopter in the near distance. until it split
in two, each part heading off at incredible speed in different directions
to disappear in the sky overhead.

- A neighbour (Lalor, Melbourne, VIC, Australia).
Found a nicely framed mirror in good condition in a park. Disbelieving
their luck to find such a nice object intact and in such good condition
where they did, they took it home and hung it in their daughter's bedroom.
Unaccounted for banging noises began occurring. Then one night they heard
noises of a disturbance from their daughter's room. They rushed to open
the door only to observe their daughter floating above the bed, near to
the ceiling, in a wild state of panic. They managed, apparently with some
resistance, to pull her down and to comfort each other. They told me they
then threw the mirror away in the garbage and after that all was quiet
and peaceful again.

- Kelsey and Tami (Uncle & Auunt, Eltham,
Melbourne, VIC, Australia). Observed what they took initially to be a motorbike
headlight heading (as unlikely as this could be) across the lawn toward
the glass door at the rear of their house in Eltham (Melbourne, VIC, Australia)..
However the light turned out to be a ball of light, slightly smaller than
a basketball, that simply passed through the glass door and proceeded up
the hall - three feet off the ground. No noise. I forget whether they said
if it passed on up the hall and out the front door .. Or just disappeared
inside the house.

- When I was 16 (1977) there were reports
of a UFO being seen at the entrance to the Wild Dog Valley (Apollo Bay,
VIC, Australia). Apparently it was just a big glowing ball of light that
had frightened the witnesses who saw it. These witnesses were ridiculed
by local townspeople and after that the witnesses said no more about it.

Upside Down V In The Sky

- Full Description of event/sighting: This
was the first UFO I had seen, almost 7 years before my second sighting
in Virginia. I was only about 10 years old, and I was in my backyard
sitting on one of our benches. Something caught my eye, and when I
looked up there was a large upside down V in the sky, which moved across
the sky at a steady speed. I got a very good look at it for about
1-2 minutes before it disappeared over a mountain range. Each arm
of the V may have been about 20 feet long if my memory serves me correctly. Thanks.

- I am very much interested in the UFO
story. I live in Bloomington, In., about 9 miles out in the country. About
5 years ago I saw a strange thing in the sky when I was taking on a paper
route for one of my friends while on vacation. This was about 3:30am. I
saw this round shaped thing right over a barn. It was all most as
big as the barn was. It was metal gray in color with small lights
round the whole body of it. The lights were on, but it seems like
they did not shine out. This thing has big
- dents all over it.

- I watch it and it did not move and neither
did I. I had always thought if I ever saw one I would be so happy,
but I never thought about just being scared to death. This thing followed
me for about 8 miles, still in the sky.

- To this day, I am still on the look out
for strange things in the sky. My children when they were alive also saw
something, and I still think if my daughter would not have taken her brother
and ran, I would not have had my children with me.

was walking home from the bus, and out of the NNE I noticed a line of objects
moving to the SW. They were spherical silver white in colour and silent.
It was difficult to judge the altitude since it was a clear day, but my
best guess is that they were at or above 30,000 feet. They moved at a steady
pace across the sky without any contrails. As they moved they changed from
a line formation to a delta formation. They couldn't have possibly been
birds as they were too high and too fast and were distinctly metallic.

- DesMoines, Iowa A Small Shinning
Speck Following Jet

- Time: Late afternoon.

- Message: Just finished reading the May
24th sighting from DesMoines. I had a sighting maybe about a month
ago, late in the afternoon.
-
- The sun was going down and coming
through the sheers. So I got up to draw the drapes and happened to look
between the sheers. I saw a jet heading south, at high altitude,
and directly behind it was a small "shinning" speck (the sun
was reflecting off it.) I'm not good at determining distance, so from my
point of view the object was following about three or four car lengths
behind the jet. Both objects traveled in a straight line, until I couldn't
see either one.

- Also, about two or three months ago,
after dark, I was coming home from the store. As I was coming out of the
garage, across the street, at a low altitude, was a light that was never
there before. If looked about the size of a street light, but it
was too high. I had never seen it in the space before (between two
houses). Then it started to move to the right of itself, and
I got spooked, and went in the house. I have seen it once since,
and checked street lights, but none are where I saw this light.

- Also, at the time, I can't remember seeing
the red alert lights on the tower for planes on the hill in the same direction,
but have seen them every night since.

- Full Description of event/sighting: On
that day, in the blue ridge mountains, everything seemed pretty normal. I
was walking through one of the fields on my grandfather's land with two
of my cousins, age 18 and 13. I am 17 myself. It had been a
long time since we had seen one another, so we just stopped and sat down
on a hay stack to reminisce for a while.

- It was a partly cloudy day, and when
I laid back and looked into the sky, I saw a very peculiar object, hovering
in the sky. The wind was blowing, not fast, but certainly enough
to where a bird could not in anyway seem to be hovering. The object
was spherical, and it was a shiny copper in color. At first I was
quite confused, and I watched it for about 15 seconds or so. Then
I told my cousins and pointed at it. They saw it too, so I wasn't
crazy. The object hovered for about another 10 seconds, then began
moving southwest. It climbed in altitude and disappeared into a cloud.
Although it was very difficult to estimate the size, the orb may have been
about 5 feet to maybe 20 feet (?) in diameter.

but no one believe us. But I swear we knew what we had seen, and
we're not crazy.

- Turtle Lake, Saskatchewan Flashes In
The Night Sky

- Message: Hello after reading about recent
unexplained lights etc. around Maidstone, Saskatchewan. I
decided to relate my story from the may long week end at Turtle Lake Saskatchewan
2006. My sister and I were at my cabin at the lake, enjoying
the evening about 11:00 pm. on the Sunday night. While sitting on
the deck I noticed an odd flash in the sky in a north west direction. Pointed
out to my sister to watch. In a second there was another flash, then another
two arm lengths in the sky far up. I have never seen any thing like
that, have been a star gazer for years. There is nothing that I know
of that can travel that fast across the sky in a "L" shape
direction. I don't drink and don't do drugs. It reminded of the
old time flash camera flash. But way up high and far away. Thanks.

- 50 Miles South Of Des Moines, Iowa Something
Follows Jet Aircraft

- Time: Approx: 8:39 p.m.

- Hi Brian, In the evening of Wednesday
May 24, 2006 while sitting and reading I saw a plane traveling from the
east heading in a south westerly direction. It was at a high altitude of
over 30,000 feet and appeared to be an ordinary 4 engine large jet plane.
-
- The engines produced the white smoke
that is seen coming from a high altitude jet, and it had 4 distinctive
plumes, 2 from each wing. The wings were visible, though very small at
this distance.
-
- It appeared to be about 50 miles south
of Des Moines, Iowa.
-
- I went back to my reading after it was
out of my sight, I had first noticed it looking out my back
window, that face's East. In a minute or so something else
caught my eye that was in the same location as when I first noticed the
jet that had just passed.
-
- Again it was about 30,000 or higher and
it was about the same size as the jet that just passed. This object had
no wings that I could see and the stranger thing was that it had no engine
exhaust plume of any type.
-
- I went outside and looked to the
South West. I could see the original jet with it's exhaust plume and then
again I looked up and looked at this fuselage looking object with no plume
at all. It seemed to be "Tailing" this jet that was about 10
miles or more ahead of it. It appeared as if it was following the
jet because it was tracking at what seemed to be the same altitude and
also heading in a South Westerly direction, and was going the same speed
as the jet in front of it. It looked as if it was following right
in the track of the jet.

range of vision I came into the house and noted that it was 8:39 pm.

- Full Description of event/sighting: Tonight
a male friend of mine and I went for a midnight drive to Lockport to share
company and enjoy the night. We parked by the water and sat on the picnic
tables talking. After being there for awhile, my friend pointed and
said to me to look over because there was a firecracker in the sky. I
laughed and told him it wasn't a firecracker but just a satellite. He disagreed
and said it can't be, it wasn't there when we got here. Then I said
to him, well it isn't a firecracker either, it isn't exploding. It was
a bright light that was hovering pretty low just above the trees across
the waters by the rich houses, and it remained stationary for about ten
minutes after my friend noticed it and brought it to my attention.

- Next thing, he is saying, look, its moving
now. I looked and sure enough it was moving slowly across the sky at a
low height. As it came closer over to where we were I could see it
was a black triangular shaped object with lights on the three points of
it and it made no noise whatsoever. It freaked us out. We just stared hard
at it as it went slowly over us and I could clearly see it. It had
a red blinking light in the middle of the bottom where the two points are
and it moved to slow to be an aircraft of any sort. We watched it slowly
move across the sky and then it eventually went out of our sight. It was
exciting to witness this but at the same time it was freaky and scary for
us. We never experienced this before. We left right away as it creeped
us out, to be out in the night and to see this strange thing in the
sky. As soon as I came home at 2:30, I came straight on the computer
to research on the internet and sure enough, there are many sightings like
mine tonight and describing exactly what we saw in the skies. It was neat
but it is scary and disturbing. It obviously is an advanced aircraft because I
don't know of any normal aircraft that can hover stationary in one spot
like that and hover so low without making any noise. Awesome to say the
least, plus my cell phone was acting funny afterwards too and I believe
it was because of that UFO we encountered.

was outside talking to my wife in our driveway when I noticed a very bright
light in the northwestern sky. Since it has always been a tradition of
mine to wish upon a star I started saying "star light star bright
the first star I see tonight, I wish I may I wish I might the", when
all of the sudden the star like object became extremely bright, tripled
in size, and then disappeared. I turned to my wife and screamed "Dear,
did you see that? Look at my arms, I have goose bumps all over my
arms and legs, I feel the hair standing up all over me."

- I then franticly looked around the sky
for other stars. Although it was still quite daylight, I had first assumed
it was the north star. Although I did see a few early night time stars
already visible to the naked eye, I realized that it was still to much
daylight outside to see a star of that magnitude and brilliance at this
time of day. I first assumed I had witnessed a rare black-hole or
supernova or some great astronomical brilliance, but when I thought about
it and researched it on the web, I realized I had seen a UFO. If
I could describe it, I would tell you to watch a street light come on,
have someone turn it on as bright as possible and then watch the light
go dim and go out in front of your eyes. I have been on the computer
all night hoping someone else would have reported seeing the same thing.
So far no luck on anyone else seeing this but it has only been one day.
It was 9:23 p.m. est and I was facing northwest standing in my driveway
located in Fisherville, Kentucky. Please respond if someone else
has witnessed this as well.

- Full Description of event/sighting: Sitting
on the patio outside a bar on principle street in Aylmer at l`autre oeil
bar. Three lights appeared coming from the river and came over top and
they were about 500 to 1000 feet high, so everyone said what is that. I figured
it was helicopters from the military base in Petawawa. They fly over often,
but I had never seen as bright of lights and they were so low that
3 helicopters above we should have heard them, but no one heard
a thing. Then the lights faded away one at a time until we saw nothing
at all, even when the light went out we could not see a shape. It's like
nothing was there. So people kept talking about that a little and
then 20 minutes after that the lights reappeared coming from the river
again. But this time there was a plane in the sky coming towards the lights.
The plane seemed much higher then the lights. The lights faded one at a
time but faster than the last time and there was a flash in the sky, not
lightning. It was like a big camera flash and all was gone except for the
plane flying above. What could that of been ? I don't know but even
the owner came out the second time the lights came. Also the staff
was standing outside to see it. It was really something and there
was no noise at all. The lights in the sky were about the size of a softball
if you look at the sky and would hold a softball with your arm stretched
out towards the sky. That would be about the size of how big the lights
were.

- West Bend, Wisconsin Object Changes Direction

- Hi Brian, 3 miles north of West Bend,
Wisconsin, May 27th, 2006

- We'd gone camping this weekend May 26th
- May 29th and Saturday night, 4 of us were sky gazing and wondering
whether or not we were going to get rained on. A strong storm front (with
lots of lightning) was moving in from the west or southwest toward
the east and we could often see lightning to the north of us.

- About 11:45 - 12:00 am, the sky began
to improve visibly, where we could began to see large patch's of sky with
stars again, yet the lightning was still going off towards the north, say
5 - 10 miles from us. It was at this time my wife spotted what she believed
was a satellite and commented to the fact. All of us looked up and saw
this object, at say a satellites height, possibly a tiny bit brighter/larger
than normal satellite observed, white lighted, moving from the
north to the south or south-southwest. I viewed it for a 3-4 seconds, when
lightning struck and I lost view of it, when the wife of the other couple
mentioned it had stopped and reversed direction, heading north again,
then stopped and headed south again. It had then gone into or above the
clouds passing overhead and was lost from sight by everyone. All four of
us viewed it at one time or another. My wife indicated also that the
object had changed directions.

I think I'm done UFO hunting. I'm very scared and I don't
think I want to do this anymore.

- Last night around 10:30 pm I went
outside with my new camera to see if it would take some good pictures of
the stars. First thing I saw was a small satellite looking light move
from left to right into a small star. I didn't think much of it, that
wasn't so scary. I looked down at my camera to get it set to take
a picture when I looked up again around the same area (to the
west) there appeared a huge white light. It
just turned on like it had a switch. I aimed my camera up and by the
time I took the picture it had moved to the north only a few inches then
disappeared.
