If you are as concerned about adding 100 million people to the USA in 33 years with all its ramifications, please email this letter to every radio and TV talk show host you possess in your network. Put their name in the two places to make it personal. My goal is to speak on every program across the nation to address our accelerating crisis of adding 100 million, then 200 million, and 300 million people within the next 60 years or so. If we allow this massive, unrelenting onslaught, our children will become victims or survivors of the greatest calamity America has ever faced.
According to NBC's Brian Williams, America expects an added 100 million people by 2040, which is 33 years from now. (Source: Fogel and Martin, March 2006 "US Population Projections") This "Human Katrina", once it manifests, creates irreversible dilemmas and unsolvable problems.
However, no national leaders address it. Not the president, Congress nor state governors! It's buried under America's paradigm of growth, profits and expansion. It cannot continue indefinitely, so when does it stop? Too soon or too late?
In my 25 part series, "THE NEXT ADDED 100 MILLION AMERICANS", I deal with every aspect of America's accelerating dilemma: water shortages, farmland loss, poverty, air pollution, species extinction, oceans being polluted, fisheries collapsing, crowding and much more. Whether we continue in denial or not, Mother Nature will teach the final lesson: ultimately, no species can overwhelm carrying capacity.
I speak rationally, articulately and compellingly on this issue from my bicycling 100,000 miles across 6 continents--from the Arctic to the South Pole. I am ready to interview on your program to bring light and education to our future if we allow an added 100 million people. I speak at major colleges across the nation. I am available to you at your convenience.
Title of the presentation: "COMING POPULATION CRISIS for AMERICA: AND WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT"
The USA will double its population from 300 million to over 600 million sometime past mid century. It will add 100 million within 33 years by 2040. Demographic predictions show Colorado adds five million people to the Front Range in the next 50 years. California will add 20 million within the next 30 years. Texas will add 12 million by 2025. We are creating an irreversible crisis with unsolvable problems for our children.
"The problems in the world today are so enormous they cannot be solved
with the level of thinking that created them." Einstein
Frosty Wooldridge, former Colorado teacher, has bicycled 100,000 miles on six continents and six times across the United States coast to coast in the past 30 years. He has seen the crisis of overpopulation in Mexico, China, Bangladesh, India and South America.
He presents a clear picture of the future for America if we continue on this Titanic-like course while offering solutions that stand in line with Einstein's appreciation for stepping out of the box. Wooldridge began as a teacher in Brighton, Colorado since 1973 and is the author of seven books. He presents a powerful and compelling program to all audiences laced with humor, compassion and sense of optimism. Wooldridge has been a guest on hundreds of radio and TV programs across the United States.
As Eleanor Roosevelt said, "We must prevent human tragedy rather than run around trying to save ourselves after an event has already occurred. Unfortunately, history clearly shows that we arrive at catastrophe by failing to meet the situation, by failing to act when we should have acted. The opportunity passes us by and the next disaster is always more difficult and compounded than the last one."
