Black Tuesday
Jim Kirwan

With all the hype and might of America's corporate controlled media we finally reached the vaunted SUPER-TUESDAY. For an added bonus we also got Fat Tuesday in what's left of Old New Orleans, but none of it compares with Black Tuesday (Down 370.03), that we got because we were unable to track more than one thing at a time.

The economy of the United States resembles an aging train that lost it's brakes sometime last November and has been building up steam ever since, with very little notice from those who should have been sounding the warnings that might have prevented the arrival of this day: But 'so-it-goes!'

There were others that saw the market situation as a huge fleet of streamlined jet-liners that were only capable of going up forever. The Money-Changers gave mild cautionary warnings to the passengers, and issued parachutes to those that worried. The problem is that the people who packed those parachutes are the same ones responsible for the dangers in the first place. The planes have begun to flame out, and now they're too high for the passengers to use their parachutes. No problem; there's always a chance for those that can sky-dive in order to get down to a safe altitude to allow their chutes to open. Those who chose to stay with the powerless planes, without a parachute, will just have to 'take-their-chances' and stay with their initial-decisions that got them into this situation in the first place. There were lots of warnings, and many mini-drops in altitude, but greed won out and now it's time to pay the piper! Welcome to Black Tuesday!

Here are some of the warning signs that went unnoticed by the media that should have kept the public informed about what they 'needed' to know, as well as all the fluff they chose to fill 'our' air-time with:

"You are now breathing Ethylene Dibromide, Nano-particles of Aluminum Barium and Cationic Polymer Fibers with unidentified Bioactive material. 'We the people have been warned, advised or consulted but are certainly vulnerable to the outcomes.' www.chemtrailsofshame.com 'Biologic components have been reported in airborne samples that include: modified mold, desiccated red blood cells and exotic strains of bacteria.' Welcome to the Brave New World of toxic barium skies."(1)

Or this: "There has been no turning back for some time now January 26th, 2008 - Since 2001, that's how we told you, a stock market boom created out of cheap money and credit, now we get a stimulus package of peanuts for the economy that will not be able to stop a crisis due to last years, with threats of inflation, Mossad agent dines with US President, soon no choice for many households to curtail consumption, battle looming in the Golden State, ATM fraud at Citibank. Laugh at the Economists January 26th, 2008 - we don't think the recession has really begun as of yet, commodities will move upwards, relentlessly, return of the woeful scamming preacher, shorts on all sorts of things, a little tariff protection might be a good thing now, pullouts, kickbacks, credit problems cause greater need for capital all around,

Short Gold is more of a reason to buy Gold January 26th, 2008 - Short Gold may be Fools Gold, more Fed fraud, but the scams remain the same, conflict wars and taxes, bankrupting the middle class, the worry of greater meltdowns, the vulnerability of big stable funds, more reasons to just buy more metals

Like Deer Frozen in the Headlights January 26th, 2008 - Investors acting like deer frozen in the headlights, control of the credit crisis is not a given, the time of the biggest mismanagement ever, by the Fed, emerging economies wont fill the void of the big western failures, loans and frauds

At The Whim of The President December 24th, 2007 - whims of the president, toxic garbage, unfathomably immense cash injections, Harleys for houses, but while real estate shrinks, the army grows

Legacies of deprivation, warnings of recession December 16th, 2007 - GW Bush legacy is one of cuts to programs and cuts to taxes for the rich, staff shortages cause backlogs in receiving disability benefits, elitist hair--brained schemes to fix the dollar, The unfolding mortgage crisis hits Washington DC area, Morgan Stanley issues recession warnings."

Or there's this one category from ten different ways to measure the nation:

-- The national debt in Jan. 2008:  $9.2 trillion

[U.S. Dept. of the Treasury]

-- Monthly U.S. trade deficit in Oct. 2007:  $57.8 billion

-- U.S. trade deficit in 2000:  $380 billion

-- U.S. trade deficit in 2007:  $759 billion

[U.S. Census Bureau, Dec. 12, 2007]

-- Value of one Euro in Jan. 2000:  $1.01

-- Value of one Euro in Jan. 2008:  $1.45

-- Loss of value of the Dollar relative to the Euro from Jan. 2000 to Jan. 2008:  45 percent

[Federal Reserve Statistical Release]

-- Value of an ounce of gold in 2000 (inflation adjusted):  $319

-- Value of an ounce of gold in 2008:  $892

[GoldPrice.org, Jan. 22 2008]

-- U.S. budget surplus in 2000: +$236 billion

-- U.S. budget deficit in 2007: -$354 billion" (3)

For an alert nation to keep up with what's going on in the world at the moment its citizens must expend far more effort and ask a lot more Questions than Americans are willing to do.

We must also "multi-task" when it comes to the equation of the security of both ourselves and what used to be our country. If we do not do this then we have no one to blame but ourselves; for finding ourselves in free-fall, when we should be looking toward real changes in our lives and in our futures.

Regardless of who 'wins' the elections today, the losers will be all of us. That's true because none of these people have the skills or the temperament to manage or revise the many extreme situations that are now approaching explosive-especially when you include all the costs of "the never-ending wars."

The greatest enemy we have to face today is our own silence about so many things that we have ignored, until they have become totally unmanageable. What people must do now is take off the headphones, remove our blindfolds, and remove our self-imposed gags. Then we need to demand basic changes to everything that passes for the norm. Otherwise there will be a lot more dark-days than just a single Black Tuesday!
