"The ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter) is designed to emit an Emergency signal on 121.5MHz. and 243.0MHz. automatically on impact by the use of a "G" switch or by manual activation. With ELT's, Search and Rescue teams may more easily pinpoint the exact location of downed Aircraft. ELT's are now also enhanced by Satellite detection."
