- I hope people don't think that there is only ONE (made
in China) radioactive grater out there in the US. Federal oversight
is not even the issue any longer. China has repeatedly sent - or allowed
its companies to send - deadly products to the US on a regular basis.
The real issue is why hasn't our government stopped trade with China?
There is a huge trade deficit with China anyway so why allow their products
to poison and kill Americans?

- Another obvious issue is the American people themselves.
Why isn't some entrepreneur doing something about this by building a better
chesse grater and doing so in the good ole US of A? Our Greatest
Generation who put men into space would have simply came up with a SAFE
American grater. Seems like we all complain about the bogus and deadly
products from China but no one does anything about it. Let's see some
folks with some grit start to manufacture non glow-in-the-dark cheese graters.
I think many of us would buy the made in America version as long as we
KNOW there are no Chinese components to the grater. I would pay more for
a safe grater.

- We all remember the tape dispensers that were weighted
down with radioactive product. China found a good way to unload its junk
radioactive material, just ship it to the US in the form of products.

- We need to ensure that every product carries a "made
in (whereever)" label and also notes where the components are made
so that we Americans can decide if we want to buy the product. I know
if I see "made in China" or if the product label tells me that
any ingredients or components of the product were made in China, I bypass
that product. (no matter what, even if I do without.)

in China. Frightening.
