- As the Managing Director and CEO of a nanotechnology
company, I take a keen interest in research findings and articles on the
subject. It is the articles to scare people that I am most interested
in because if mankind has a future on this planet it is going to be through
technological advancement and that meansNanotechnology.
-
- As with most revolutionary sciences, there are good and
bad components to deal with.
-
- I learned many years ago that just because someone holds
a PhD science, it does not automatically equate to them being competent
in nanotechnology. This is new territory and classical teachings and thought
processes are not up to the level that much of nanotechnology is heading
toward.
-
- The Rense website recently posted such an article about
nanotechnology. This particular one was well done and is mainly focused
on the use of nanotechnology in food science. That is a particular area
of nanotechnology that I have problems with for reasons explained below,
and in the first article (linked below) I did with a Russian high tech
magazine on the subject of nanotechnology and its implications for mankind.

- First article in Sverkhnovaya Realnost, June 2008:

-
- Second article in Sverkhnovaya Realnost, hot off the
presses, July 2009:
-
- The two words "Sverkhnovaya Realnost" mean
"SuperNew Reality" in Russian. That pretty well sums up what
we do all day, every day.
-
- This is an excerpt from the current nanotechnology article
posted on Rense:
-
- "So clearly, size does matter.
-
- But there are worries that some in industry do not appreciate
this. Toxicologist Dr George Burdock of the Burdock Group recently expressed
his concerns about the dangers of what he sees as a lack of understanding
by manufacturers, and said that this "could make nanotechnology the
new asbestos". ""
-
- (End Excerpt)
-
- (My note: the comment above regarding size was due to
investigation of nano-level gold, as if that has any application to anything
due to the sheer cost of gold. MIT pursued a similar investigation regarding
nanopolymers made of gold. Such studies are not representative of the
much broader implications and applications of nanotechnology. We stuck
with nanopolymers made from petrochemicals since there is a market for
that.)
-
- As a nanotechnology executive for 8 years, I have concerns
about this new science but I see far bigger problems in the form of legacy
pollution that mankind's race to the good life has left behind. For example:
-
- 1.
Particle size does indeed matter. A small enough particle of cotton has
been proven to create malignant tumors in lab animals. As I stated in
the first Russian article, do we ban cotton or do we push the research
forward to where we can cure any disease?
-
- 2.
Hyperventilating about particle size does no good because nanoparticles
of virtually every element have existed since the creation of the Universe.
Mankind did not invent nanotechnology, God did. ET would have to be expert
at nanotechnology to have taken the steps up the scientific and technological
ladder. All mankind has done is develop the technology and means to perform
nanotechnology. We did not create the elements that are the fabric of
our planet, which range in size from atoms, to nanoparticles, to Mt Everest
and the planet Earth itself. Said another way, our home planet Earth is
an agglomeration of nanoparticles and our species created none of it.
The entire Universe is an agglomeration of atoms and nanoparticles.
-
- 3.
I have seen many articles, but no valid scientific reports, about the evils
of carbon nanotechnology. That is one of our specialties. Carbon nanotubes
have also been around on this planet since it was created. Under the right
circumstances volcanoes, forest fires, burning of crop lands after harvest,
campfires, fireplaces, the making and burning of charcoal on the backyard
grill all create low purity carbon nanotubes. One study found carbon nanotubes
in the dark pigments used by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. One can
go back to the days of Neanderthal cave paintings and find nanoparticles
and carbon nanotubes even way back then.
-
- 4.
If one wants to freak out regarding carbon nanotubes, diesel engines also
create low purity carbon nanotubes when the naphtha base of the diesel
is exposed to heat and pressure. So, as long as there have been diesel
engines there have been low purity carbon nanotubes and what are called
Bucky-balls spewing out all around every person. To date, no study has
ever made a connection that those diesel created carbon nanotubes have
any affect whatsoever on health. The other hydrocarbon emissions are another
matter, but it is the nanotechnology and nano-scale that is the issue.
In carbon nanotechnology there is no proof whatsoever that it has any
effect on us as carbon-based life forms.
-
- 5.
These new bio-diesel fuels will also be spewing out low purity, low grade
carbon nanotubes.
-
- As far as 'the next asbestos' boogeyman mentioned above
from the Daniell's article, toxicology researchers such as Dr. Burdock
would be wise to focus on the true effects of what current pollution has
done to the environment and its toxicology on all life forms on this planet.
That is a far bigger threat to mankind than nanotechnology. Unlike our
current technologies, nanotechnology can be applied to reverse much of
the harmful effects that the Industrial and IT Revolutions have left behind.
-
- I am much more concerned about the gaping 'dead zones'
in our oceans and what role manmade pollution has contributed to that phenomenon.
I am much more concerned about industrial pollution in most freshwater
lakes and even in the aquifers under the ground. I am much more concerned
about the toxicity of pollution than I am about whether there are any nanoparticles
or nanotubes in my home. They are there and have always been there.
-
- The reason that I think people like Dr. Burdock need
to get into gear is because the foremost toxicology research center in
the world the National Center for Toxicological Research, Jefferson
Arkansas, is no longer used in the manner it was created for to study the
toxic affects of anything and everything on humans and on the environment.
Our company is and will continue to be heavily involved in the study of
toxicology in everything we do and everything that has been done in the
past that has polluted the Hell out of our home planet.
-
- Current technology offers plenty of problems and few
solutions. Nanotechnology will deliver many solutions that are way overdue
in making this planet cleaner and improving our quality of life.
-
- Many see a new emerging pathogen or disorder and go apoplectic
thinking it is some new 'evil' thing. Lately there has been much hyperventilating
that anything new has to be nanotechnology. Hate to burst some bubbles
out there but it just is not so.
-
- Our hunch is what we are seeing is the combined effects
of staggering pollution levels, bad policies (or no policies) and the inability
of the human body to react in a way that maintains the human autoimmune
system. We are seeing plenty of evidence that the world today is an overload
on the ability of the human body to react, adapt and maintain a healthy
balance. The impacts due to the lifestyles of some are on multiple levels
and are hitting faster than the human system can adapt.
-
- That is a much bigger problem to me than worrying about
nanoparticles or nanotechnology because every time every human breathes
you are breathing nanoparticles of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc
and what has been added in due to pollution. When that is added in with
the other crap in the environment, the water, the toxic American-style
food chain, overloads of medications.. only an irrational or completely
uninformed person would expect good results to happen.
-
- As they say in science. garbage in, garbage out. Far
too many Americans are mobile chemistry experiments about to go awry.
-
- We are seeing plenty of evidence that the modern day
world is garbage in, garbage out and it is harming the health of most people.
It is the current technology that has done that, not nanotechnology.
-
- I am aware of one massive study that has been tracking
the true effects of tattoos on the human body. If one can accept that
the largest organ of the human body is in fact the skin, or derma, layer,
what that study has found already is ranging from shocking to horrifying.
Certain pigments of tattoos go straight for the lymph nodes, liver, kidneys
and bladder, etc. There are strong correlations emerging that many chronic
diseases such as cancer, leukemia, amyloidosis, interstitial cystitis ("IC")
are connected either directly or indirectly to body tattoos. There is
also evidence surfacing that things like cervical cancer, ovarian cancer,
breast, penile and testicular cancer, as well as urethral and bladder cancer
are also being affected by simple tattoos.
-
- Body art? Try the concept. Self-inflicted slow death.
-
- After I read that unpublished report I added to 'no mustache'
the phrase 'no tattoos' regarding any woman I date. Odds are extremely
high that a woman with tattoos is no longer a fit breeding partner, by
her own hand and choices in life. It apparently depends on the type of
tattoo and ink used. Some research findings are very clear that some
of the inks are very bad for the human body.
-
- Drugs such as Vioxx used to have to endure a lengthy
approval process through the National Center of Toxicological Research
at Jefferson, Arkansas as part of final FDA approval. The Clinton and
Bush Administrations decided that just was not fair to Big Pharma and the
ability to line their pockets fast and voila, we get a deadly drug on the
market in fast-track time because no one was allowed to study the true
toxicology effects on humans. Sadly, Vioxx is not the only drug allowed
to bypass scrutiny. The number is in the hundreds now, maybe even past
1,000.
-
- It would be comforting that Vioxx was an exception but
it is now the norm as one drug, one food additive, one more 'commerce'
thing gets added into our food chain or medicines without any research
or any regard for the harmful effects it may cause. I have some real issues
where 'all about money' overpowers all about health.
-
- The same applies to vaccines, whether for our military
to be forced to take or for all of these dreaded boogeyman Bird Flu, and
Swine Flu and pandemic threats so Big Pharma can sock it to us all yet
again.
-
- If you missed these articles on Rense, and videos, take
the time to see the effects of stupid policies and failure to do the research:
-
- Former US Marine Corps felled by a single shot (needle)
from his dear buddies in the US military:
-
- http://www.wlwt.com/news/13271378/detail.html
-
- Sadly, hundreds of thousands in our military have been
forced to take questionable vaccines, or worse, vaccines known to be harmful
to the human body. Some are dead, many are debilitated, and many will
have chronic health problems for the rest of their lives. Many of our
soldiers are getting the surprise of their life when they have a child
and it is deformed due to what one of the parents has been subjected to
by our military and bogus war policies.
-
- Of course, those who wish to profit from the Bird Flu
and Swine Flu vaccines hope the average American never hears how things
are really going regarding their latest 'great breakthrough vaccine':
-
- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/poland/22
- 35676/Homeless-people-die-after-bird-flu-vaccine-trial-in-Poland.html
-
- Yes, people have already died after being given this
new Bird Flu vaccine and note that they are doing the testing far away
from the US. Sort of reminds me of Gardasil and the bogus vaccine being
given to many teenage girls to head off cervical cancer, but, oops, has
killed many. Surprises me not that they are now pushing that young boys
should have to take it as well since they are uh, having sex with young
girls.
-
- What is next? We are nearing a point we need a vaccine
for idiots, especially parasitic bureaucratic idiots that care not the
harm they do on behalf of their Big Pharma masters.
-
- This link is a 60 Minutes special about the flu vaccine
that was administered due to the 1976 Swine Flu. There is indeed a Medical
Mafia and, in fact, much of the Real Mafia money is directly involved in
Big Pharma, and Big Oil, and Big Defense. Getting that picture? You had
better 'get it' because your life may depend on it.
-
- Take the time to watch this 60 Minutes video and pay
particular attention to the 1976 swine flu vaccination program director,
playing both parts of 'Dumb and Dumber'.
-
- http://www.healthtruthrevealed.com/articles/17445018207/article
-
- Sadly, Americans are trusting their health to such morons
working in our government. That man appears to be too stupid to zip his
own fly. It amazed me that he could find his way to work each day.
-
- I have a simple policy regarding all of their wonderful
vaccines I refuse to take any of them. Never, not once have I had
a flu vaccine and I have had the flu only 4 times in 58 years.
-
- I had the mumps, measles, chicken pox and all of the
childhood illnesses and am none the worse for refusing all of the other
wonderful things my doctors offered over the years.
-
- To this day, I am 58, solid as a rock, very fit and active
and look about 45-47 years of age. I am about 5'-10" in height, weigh
175 and never eat American junk food or take any medications that I do
not absolutely need.
-
- I am convinced that rather than being in business to
protect my health, Big Pharma, FDA, CDC and others would prefer to ruin
my health because that means big money in the right pockets. And, of course,
big campaign donations to just the right candidates that let Big Pharma
have their way. That is where the rub begins between 'protecting quality
of health' and lining the right pockets.
-
- For all of the crap talk about how caring Hillary Rodham
Clinton is as a mother, she was the chief architect of the Ritalin scam
that has harmed millions of youngsters in the US who were given that drug
to appease the Big Pharma backers of the Clintons. Self-serving Bitch!
-
- Our scientists are looking very close into a phenomenon
that is being created by Morgellon's syndrome. I have seen many articles
citing fears of 'nanobots' being the cause of this new and emerging disorder.
We have not found any evidence that nanobots or even nanotechnology are
present or the root cause of Morgellon's.
-
- I started to become suspicious when some were claiming
that their bodies are creating and growing 'polyethylene fibers'. To make
such fibers one needs ethylene and 600 degrees Centigrade. That is not
possible inside the human body without causing instant death.
-
- One could breathe ethylene if they worked at a florist
because it is used to accelerate ripening of fruits and flowers. Pure
ethylene has no toxic effects whatsoever other than a possible asphyxiate
if there is too much ethylene and too little oxygen. We know, our carbon
nanotechnology process uses metric tons of ethylene. However, having enough
ethylene in the human body to create polypropylene or polyethylene fibers
is quite another matter.
-
- We are aware that the yeast candida, when it is out of
control, does produce ethylene as one of the many things the disorder does.
However, there is not enough ethylene to produce fibers in the human body
and that threshold of about 600 degrees Centigrade is not possible in the
human body without causing death.
-
- It is far more likely that the fibers were inhaled or
digested, then worked their way out of the skin just like fiberglass does
if that is inhaled. It is a medical and biological fact that tiny fibers
can, and do, exit the body in all ways including through the derma layer.
Ask anyone who has worked in the fiberglass home insulation business.
-
- More recent inquires have found that such "Morgellon's
fibers" have some of the same basic elements and molecules as human
hair. That was of more interest to us because the building blocks for human
hair are in the human body to begin with.
-
- It has also been recently learned that some of the Morgellon's
samples that were tested have an aberrant protein present.
-
- What we are more concerned about is the effects of pollution
and toxic exposures that have apparently created an aberrant protein that
may well be the cause of Morgellon's or a definite clue as to what is causing
the life-altering disorder. However, it is but one of many life-altering
disorders that have surfaced in the midst of this Big Pharma, food additive,
anything for the good of commerce craze and has turned our environment
and food chain into something akin to Pure-D USDA Crap.
-
- What can cause aberrant proteins in the human body?
Several things including vaccines and a toxic food chain. There is also
a distinct possibility that some of the GMO foods that used engineered
bacteria or viruses could also be to blame for creating a new form of protein
that appears to be present in some Morgellon's sufferers.
-
- Amyloidosis is a disease that is fairly rare in a typical
human population at about 1:500,000 adults. Due to crappy vaccines that
have been given to the US military, as many as 20% of our US soldiers either
have or may develop amyloidosis just due to untested, health-crushing vaccines
that were not even needed. Amyloidosis is a disease of protein and the
body not properly dealing with amyloidal proteins.
-
- That is just one small example of how stupid policies
are having tragic results. The vaccines are poison, time is proving that
over and over again.
-
- One of the subsections of the Daniell's article had a
perfect title:
-
- "Ignorance breeds fear"
-
- That sums up pretty well this hyperventilating some are
doing regarding nanotechnology. There is good and bad in all things but
most ethical scientists are already checking into the toxicology of their
scientific work in nanotechnology.
-
- I would go one step further to say that ignorance also
breeds disasters and Americans need to start paying closer attention to
what they eat, drink, inhale, or get injected into their bodies by shots
or by pills. The current technology levels and pollution are far worse
than anything we have seen yet in nanotechnology. We are in fact using
nanotechnology to address such pollution problems.
-
- I am more concerned about what the pollution of plastics
is doing to our oceans, fresh water supplies and our health than I am about
nanotechnology. I have a hunch that plastics molecules are now polluting
much of our food chain and that would not be a good thing. Where other
technologies cannot do anything about plastics pollution, nanotechnology
can.
-
- I am more concerned about the high levels of pharmaceuticals,
SSRI drugs and other things that have been leached or dumped into our water
systems and air.
-
- I am more concerned about breathing air that is polluted
by burning diesel and gasoline fuels than I am nanotechnology. Nanotechnology
can definitely change how we power cars, tractors, trucks and even our
homes.
-
- I see all of the hype about biofuels and how they will
save the planet. Well, oil is an abiotic 'biofuel' that the Earth makes
and burning it is ruining the quality of life and health of billions of
people.
-
- We evaluate many things at the nanotechnology front line.
Frankly, the global pollution and health problem is far more dangerous
than any perceived global warming problem or most of the issues that we
are seeing in nanotechnology.
-
- We are seeing clear evidence of convergences of technologies
and sometimes one step then requires other steps to complete a process
so that it is safe.
-
- I see all of the hype about cars running on water. We
are heavily involved in that research and development and there is a slight
hitch. In its normal form water is either polluted by mankind or has suspended
particles that none of us want to be breathing as nanoparticles floating
around as exhaust emissions from a water-powered car.
-
- For example, many parts of the world have considerable
water suspended levels of cadmium, selenium, strontium, lead, mercury,
etc. Each of those metals is already known to be toxic to humans in excessive
levels and our research is indicating that they are even more toxic in
nanoparticle form.
-
- We are working on a major environmental project where
the water table and surface water is heavily polluted with arsenic and
cyanide. If that were used as fuel for water-powered cars the exhaust
would include water vapor and either arsenic or cyanide as a nanoparticle
mist. That would not be a good thing.
-
- Some of the manmade pollution that is in water now as
'low-melting point molecules' would split in a water powered vehicle and
those newly broken molecules could be nothing short of deadly to human
life and the quality of our environment.
-
- Many plastics are made with ethylene oxide and other
hydrocarbon derivatives. Ethylene oxide is known to be toxic on its own
and just pollution in water could free that up and many other nasty things
once it is used as a fuel source. Heat and pressure are used in catalytic
chemistry, but the reverse is true that heat and pressure can also break
apart already existing low-melting point molecules that are nominally stable
as they are and can be downright nasty or deadly in other forms.
-
- Many water powered car proponents like to point out that
the only emissions would be water vapor and oxygen, but that is not true.
The car engines will not consume many of the elements that are suspended
in water, whether natural or manmade. The temperatures in such hydrogen-powered
vehicles would not be high enough to vaporize those elements that have
a higher melting point. The end result would be high air concentration
with nanoparticles that either are or will be shown to be very bad to our
health.
-
- There is a solution, but.. that is our technology and
ongoing research.
-
- As for adding nanotechnology to food, it would have to
meet several criteria before I would even consider consuming it.
-
- First, does it add to the ability of food to provide
me with energy and health? The human body already reduces food to the
nanoparticle level, so unless these new additives improve what food already
does for energy and balance of health, I am not a customer for their next
new big thing.
-
- Secondly, since particle size does matter, I would insist
that what they are adding has been thoroughly tested for any toxicological
effects. Since the US likes to bypass all such testing to rush to market
for 'commerce' and 'jobs' and 'lining insider pockets', I think I will
bypass all US foods that have untested additives.
-
- Third, nanotechnology has absolutely proven that particle
size does matter. Sometimes that takes a harmless thing and makes it toxic
and harmful. These food additive folks have a long way to go to convince
me that what they want to add to the food chain is safe for human consumption
and I mean a very, very long way. Years to be quite specific about the
definition of 'long way'.
-
- Some of the older readers may recall in the 1970's when
they had to ban one of the yellow dyes and a red dye that were being used
in hot dogs. One could eat a hot dog, take a Contact cold capsule, and
voila, they would have a carcinogenic combination in their body just from
a food additive and a cold medicine.
-
- Simple rule. if not absolutely 100% sure, do not allow
food nano-additives into your body at all. Make them do their work
and shoulder their own responsibility to prove they are safe.
-
- I am reminded that when GMO first came out, those making
lots of money on it asserted it was completely safe, including the FDA.
Over time it has been proven that GMO is toxic and is not good for humans
or any animal it is fed to.
-
- My recommendation is. The jury is still out and if FDA
says it is safe to eat, do not believe it for even one second.
-
-
- That agency has been bought and paid for and will say
anything these drug and additive folks want them to say. If you have been
paying attention to the news lately, occasionally FDA and those they 'regulate'
have been caught literally falsifying their testing results and safety
claims.
-
- The FDA is not part of the solution - it is part of the
problem.
