- Obama could sign the hate bill tonight. Today the US
Senate deliberated on the national defense authorization bill, with attached
hate bill. After requests by Republican Senators, including Jeff Sessions
and Saxby Chambliss, to strip off the hate bill, debate was terminated.
CQ Midday Update says a final vote is expected this evening, with possible
delivery of the defense/hate bill to the President by the end of the day.
