- Homosexual online newspaper The Washington Blade is spreading
the rumor that the Presiden has communicated that he will sign the defense/hate
crimes bill. The Blade says, "President Obama intends to sign into
law Wednesday a long-sought hate crimes protection measure as part of a
major defense bill, according to an administration source." (See,

to sign hate crimes bill Wednesday (http://www.truthtellers.org/alerts/obamawillconsiderhbnextweek.htm)

- Who is this unnamed source? This afternoon I called the
office of those with the highest stake in passing the defense authorization
bill-the Senate Armed Services Committee (Democrat). I wanted to see if
they heard any leaks from the White House about the President's intentions.
Their spokesperson said, "We have received no indication which way
the President will decide."
-
- Yes, Obama has said-as recently as the Human Rights Campaign
banquet several weeks ago-that he will sign a federal hate crimes bill.
But he has repeatedly made clear he will not sign the defense authorization
bill (to which the hate bill is attached) if it's loaded with $100 billion
of military "pork" for thousands of F-35 jet engines. Defying
him two weeks ago, Congress added the extra engines. There is thus a viable
chance Obama will keep his word, teaching the upstart Democrat Congress
who sets the legislative agenda.
-
- The homosexual lobby, Anti-Defamation League and liberal
media are announcing Obama's signing of the hate bill as almost a fact
for strategic reasons. First, they want to make it harder for Obama to
disappoint the political left, especially the homosexual and Jewish communities
who now rejoice in the "virtual reality" of their hate law dream.
Second, they want to drain the fighting spirit out of those who might continue
to email Obama. After all, if the President has recently sworn to sign
the defense/hate bill, why bother to demand that he not?
-
- The fact is that no credible message has come from the
administration concerning the President's state of mind. The spokesperson
for the Senate Armed Services Committee told me they hope the President
will pass these bills, yet the committee remains ignorant of his ultimate
choice. Of one thing this source was sure: "If the President does
veto the defense bill, it will be a huge setback for the committee."

- Don't let up on emailing Obama! Send these three messages
in separate emails to Obama immediately, through the White House contact
page, <http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/>www.whitehouse.gov/contact.
You may copy and paste them into the message section at that website.

- 1. Mr. President, I will vote out Democrats at mid-terms
if you sign the freedom-destroying hate crimes bill.
-
- 2. Mr. President, I expect you to keep your promise to
veto any military authorization bill that wastes $100 billion of taxpayers'
money on unnecessary
-
- F-35 jet engines.
-
- 3. Mr. President, I will never forgive or forget if
you sign away America's sovereignty at the Copenhagen conference in December.
