- The hideous, evil 'Got Talent' and 'Idol' tv 'celebrity'
shows are all over the planet now.

- They are produced and presented so that if the 'judges'
are 'pleased' the contestant continues to 'LIVE'...if not, the contestant
'dies'...on the spot, right there on teevee.
- The cutaway shots of the judges reacting during the
performance are anxiously, rabidly waited by the viewing audience...who
clearly have a bloodlust identical to the throngs gathered in the
Coliseum in ancient Rome. Thumbs up...the gladiator contestants win...thumbs
down, they die.

- It is all so odious, vile and repulsive, I have run out
of words to describe it.

- You should have no words. This phenomenon is beneath
contempt, and makes one feel ashamed to be a human being. The entire world
population now does almost nothing but aspire to consume. and be a "star."
Only cataclysm awaits for this species, as we know. Perhaps the cataclysm
will teach the vermin a lesson, and humble those who survive into a degree
of pragmatism and restraint. But that's a rosy view.

- I recall an interview with the great writer, Dennis Potter,
done when he had weeks to live and was sipping champagne and liquid morphine.
He was asked if there was any one thing he had left to accomplish, what
might it be. He said he had named the pancreatic tumor that was killing
him 'Rupert' (Murdoch) and then he said, in all seriousness, "I would
shoot the bugger, if I could." Here's the wonderful clip. Listen
