CNN - “The Most (Dis)trust(ed) Name in News” |

| All Western major media serve largely as mouthpieces for wealth, power
and privilege. On issues mattering most, notably geopolitical ones, they feature a daily drumbeat of deplorable misinformation, disinformation, fake news and Big Lies - utter rubbish! CNN stands out as worst among all so-called television news media, its programming polar opposite what it should be, viewers consistently lied to and deceived, truth-telling banished from its reporting. It notoriously features endless Trump bashing for the wrong reasons, not the obvious right ones. It’s viciously hostile to Russia, providing press agent services for administration and congressional Russophobes. It was forced to retract a story, claiming Trump campaign advisor Anthony Scaramucci, under Senate investigation, met with Kirill Dmitriev, Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) CEO, at last winter’s Davos World Economic Forum. The fund manages direct foreign investments in the nation’s economy. In June 2016, it became an independent private enterprise. CNN fake news claimed “Congress was investigating a Russian investment fund with ties to Trump officials” - willful deception. Congressional investigators allegedly wanted to know if lifting Russian sanctions was discussed. Scaramucci told CNN there was “nothing there.” An RDIF spokesperson said no such discussion took place. CNN reported fake news, standard practice for the cable channel. Last Friday, it retracted the story, saying it “did not meet (its) editorial standards.” It acted after being caught red-handed reporting fake news. Its alleged anonymous reliable source proved untrustworthy. On Saturday, CNN Money executive editor Rich Barbieri addressed his staff by memo, saying “(n)o one should publish any content involving Russia without coming to me and Jason (Farkas - premium content video vice president). “This applies to social video, editorial, and MoneyStream. No exceptions. I will lay out a workflow Monday (June 26).” In early June, CNN was forced to retract another fake news story, claiming former FBI director James Comey would refute Trump’s claim about not being under investigation by the agency. In congressional testimony, Comey said Trump wasn’t being investigated on his watch, exposing another CNN Big Lie.
